I find myself always waiting on the next video! Absolutely love what you’re doing with this channel and I really hope to have the pleasure of meeting you someday!
Always enjoy your videos Steve. From someone who edits way to much you prove how shooting a scene using the light to your advantage & envisaging the end result pays dividends. Beautiful end result.
Definitely would like to see more. It's always good to see another persons thought process on how an image should look and what avenues they take to get it that point. Would even like to see you take to a fine art standard that you would release for sale.
a big yes to more like this..fine image..great example of how knowledge of equipment and knowing your subject , work for you...would love to see , in person, a print
Ha ha ha, got lucky, you are such a jokester. Nothing about that shot was luck. That shot was the culmination of year upon year of studying photography, thinking about photography, practicing photography, experimenting with photography, and taking photography seriously. And, it works wonderfully. Good grief your shots are always so stunning.
I absolutely did enjoy this video as a follow-up to the last one. There isn't enough of these short "how to process" videos of images we see captured. It really helps us and I look forward to more! Thanks Steve!!!
Nice images. I like the way that you brought us through the entire process. You envisioned an image, predicted the outcome, executed and showed your workflow. Looks easy - right!? Thanks for sharing this.
Steve, I really liked watching your editing. Our philosophies seem close (keep edits to a minimum to make it look like what you saw in the field). I will say I really liked the subtleness of the colors in the original. B&W very dramatic but something sublime with the color one that really caught my eye.
I enjoy editing, so yes, I would like more such videos. Personally, I have grown to favor the texture slider over clarity; it's subtler to my eyes. Backlighting and rim lighting really bring out a lot in foliage and flowers as well. I have a recent photo of a backlit hedgehog cactus from Arizona that I'm very happy with.
Thanks for the walk thru on the Elk image - and yes - I would enjoy seeing you do the deeper dive into an image. Always helps to see how another Photographer takes the initial image and turns it into a masterpiece.
Fabulous, Steve! I enjoyed watching your field work in capturing the image. This editing video is a great addition. You do a great job talking the viewer through the image selection process, and the edit as well. It is really helpful to hear your thought process. Keep up the good work! And yes, more of these editing videos, please!
I loved this. Very fun to watch good editing being done. Editing is the hardest thing I’ve had to learn when it comes to photography. I one million percent understand if the answer is no, but would it be fun to share one of the worse photos in this series of photos (or any other photo), with us and seeing what our edits would be like? Like an editing challenge? Not a contest, no winners and no prizes, but just a “let’s all edit this and see what we come up with” kind of thing? (Talking about raw ofc. Not sure how you could share raws easily though.)
Enjoyed hearing your thoughts as you processed. I did think the tree canopy illumination near the end was a good touch. I would have missed that but I felt it added a lot to the image. While I liked the BW, I have to admit, the color version appealed to me more and I would have warmed the highlights ever so slightly. I often do a Lightroom snapshot of the color version than process it in BW and take a snapshot of it as well and go back and forth for a few days before settling on my final version. I find my opinion sometimes changes after some time away. Enjoyed this type of video Steve. Well done.
Big thumbs up from me. I'm a Capture One user but it's the thought process and concepts that are important. Always helpful to see how other artists envision their final product and how they get there.
This is a great formatted video. I have Lightroom classic though rarely use it always jumping into NX Studio mostly due to needing to update how I organize my files.
Very cool, I like the post editing parts as well as the in-field parts. It was particularly interesting how you darkened everything then you brought up the highlights in the arched tree branches, that's something I'll try on my photos. Thanks Steve!
I really enjoyed your start to finish video on the shot you took of the backlit elk. I struggle sometimes when editing, wondering if I should do more or less. My workflow is similar to yours, and it was nice to see how someone who makes a living at this, edits their photos. I vote for more videos like this please. Thanks for all you do.
I really liked watching your editing process. I would love to see more! Great work btw! I really enjoy your UA-cam and I’m still hoping to run into some day while out trying to get my own photos. (My name is Barb. Aaron is my husband.)
Very interesting approach to editing. Few steps but big visual impact. Clearly shows the importance of nailing composition and exposure in the field. Then editing is a breeze 🙂
Hi Steve Really good see all stages- planning, shooting, processing. Would welcome further videos Made a solo visit to Jackson in 2018 after a Yellowstone workshop. Really enjoyed the area but could have learned a lot if I had known about your workshops. Bit late now as the chances of travelling from Scotland again are unlikely Bob
The “start to finish” video was particularly valuable to me. I would appreciate seeing more of that type of content. Also like the fact that you included the transition to a black and white image. Could we have a session involving a transition from color to black and white landscape. Thank you.
Hey Steve. I have been following you for a long time and I love your approach and technique for Wildlife Photography. I must say that I love the formate you have used here to tell the story of how you got the image and how you processed it. I would love to see more of this type of style from you. I follow a fair few Wildlife Photographers, but you are the first I have seen to do this process. I too thought Black and White would really lend itself to this image, as I feel it really emphasises the backlight on the deer and the surrounding ground around him. All the very best.
great video, love learning what goes in to picking and editing an image; was that image taken off of Gros Ventre Road near Kelly? I found a lot of elk there in May.
Yes, more.
What a surprise - a video from Steve!🙂👍 Best stuff for sunday morning... I like this video, thanks!
Yes, more please.
Steve this is fantastic. Adds an extra dimension to your vlogs so keep em up, would very much like to see one of these on the owls pleeeeease!!!
I love the simplicity of your edits, Steve! Very informative. Love your channel. Keep it coming!
The artful eye searches, sees, captures and refines. Thank you for sharing the process Steve.

It is great to have insight on how the process is done behind the scenes. Thanks for sharing those talents Steve!

Yes please. Love seeing you you take and process for the final image. Thank you

Love it Steve. The black and white image is my favorite!
Great video Steve. Enjoy the ‘start to finish’ approach.
Always enjoy your videos Steve. From someone who edits way to much you prove how shooting a scene using the light to your advantage & envisaging the end result pays dividends. Beautiful end result.
Thank you for showing us how you do your editing…. Yes more like this…. Thanks…
Definitely would like to see more. It's always good to see another persons thought process on how an image should look and what avenues they take to get it that point. Would even like to see you take to a fine art standard that you would release for sale.
Great video Steve, keep making them it’s good seeing how a pro goes about his craft and the thinking that goes with it

You make a good point...
And thank you 🙏
I enjoy all your videos but I especially like this one of processing start to finish
I absolutely did enjoy this video as a follow-up to the last one. There isn't enough of these short "how to process" videos of images we see captured. It really helps us and I look forward to more! Thanks Steve!!!
Love the image and the video Steve. You've given me lots of ideas for some images I'm looking to take of red deer in the Autumn. Big thumbs up 👍
Lovely Image Steve, I like the darkened look and Black and White 👍🏻. I find I'm drawn to darkening most of my photos when editing.
Yes I’d like more of this type of video. Thanks for your efforts. Scott Mac
Nice images. I like the way that you brought us through the entire process. You envisioned an image, predicted the outcome, executed and showed your workflow. Looks easy - right!?
Thanks for sharing this.
Nice job. Start to finish was a good idea and I think shows us all what is possible.
Yes, more please. See you soon.
Definitely would like to see more of this type of video, Steve. Love to hear your thoughts as you go from shooting to final edit. Thanks.
Love the start to finish. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I liked watching the full video and then this video of how the post processing works for you.
Great video! Love the start to finish thought process. More more more!

Great video, Steve. I'd enjoy seeing more of these.
Love this video, Steve. Hope you'll make more like this one.

Loved it Steve!!!!!! Please do more!!!!!
Like it - too many subjects in the frame isn't a problem we have here in Connecticut!
Would love to see more of these types of videos!
Really enjoyed the editing video, always interested to see the RAW image and the process to get it to look polished
Great video. It is nice to see your approach to editing.
Great video. Love seeing your thought process. Keep doing these types of videos.
More of the editing photos please. Great to see how you think about the picture Before & After
Thanks for the walk thru on the Elk image - and yes - I would enjoy seeing you do the deeper dive into an image. Always helps to see how another Photographer takes the initial image and turns it into a masterpiece.

Really liked this, keep on keeping on!
Enjoyed hearing your thoughts as you processed. I did think the tree canopy illumination near the end was a good touch. I would have missed that but I felt it added a lot to the image. You make it look easy , I enjoy editing but I don’t always know when to stop, thanks for the lesson
Beautiful photo. The darkness of the background doesn't really appeal to me, but I note your reasons for doing that. Thanks for the process
Thanks Steve for the start to finish video. Helps to know someone else's though process and to see your final vision. Awesome video!!
Steve...Beautiful. Good stuff man.

This is a great formatted video. I have Lightroom classic though rarely use it always jumping into NX Studio mostly due to needing to update how I organize my files.
This is an excellent idea to show the creative process.
Thanks Vaughn👍
Great stuff thanks! I don't use LR, but instead Rawtherapee, which is a great free tool. The only thing it lacks is local adjustments.
Great video Steve!
Very informative and interesting video. Nice change of pace, but don't go overboard - I'm not looking for a post processing channel.
Loved the edit info!
Very cool, I like the post editing parts as well as the in-field parts. It was particularly interesting how you darkened everything then you brought up the highlights in the arched tree branches, that's something I'll try on my photos. Thanks Steve!
