Beautiful model. What is your advice for getting wood thickness correct? Do you usually run the wood through a thicknesser?

I thought you were going to screw or otherwise non-glue on the rear box. The truck chassis could just as well be used for other things: A cylinder (tanker truck), empty box with a roll-up door on the back (delivery truck), house (RV), platform with sides (hay wagon) or bunks (logging truck), many more.
