If you work on two way radios you definitely need to know about microphones. Depending on the age of transmitter/transceiver it could have either Hi-Z or Lo-Z mic inputs.
Thanks Sir, Always helpful to know something about sound, it’s a good minor for an electronic technician. I find that people still don’t understand about specialisations, just like customers expect a computer engineer to know high level programming.
