Great pile of possibilities! I'm reading The Appeal in January, and I'm intrigued by Jane Harper. I think I'd like to read The Dry sometime in the first quarter of the year. Happy reading!
My January TBR are "cold" books. The Split by Sharon Bolton; An Unwanted Guest by Shari Lapena; Snow Drowned; New York, New Year, New You; Winterfrost; The Snow Child. Then Station Eleven; Odder; And Then, Boom!; Soul Boom by Wilson Raine.
🎲🎯🥇🪙 Ohhh I LOVE The Appeal. I'm reading it for the 3rd time! I read it last year...then again in October for an online book club and now for my January IRL book club! It is really really good. It's a full cast on audio which is awesome! I will say...because it is all texts and emails it does take some getting use to on audio. Stick with it though...there are so many characters that having different voices for each does help in the l8ng run. Also...no spoiler but a hint to add to the reading experience (not the solving of the mystery though)... the play that the community players are performing is a real play. You can look it up and read the premise of the plot of the play and that adds even more dimension, IMHO, to this book and the many characters. It's so good!! Can't wait to hear what you think!!
I was hesitant about the Light Pirate but was pleasantly surprised and really liked it. I think you might too! Any chance you could do a reading vlog for Afong Moy? I’d like to read along and see the gifts as I’m reading it😀
A definite read will be The Paris Girl. My next in line will be Beautiful Ugly. Did you want to buddy read Mastering the Art of French Murder in February? We had chatted about it since we both had the OUABC box of it. 🎲
Yes, let's do it! You may need to remind me since I"m seeing this at work and probably won't remember. Send me a voxer maybe so I can make note of it when I get back home.
📚 😂 I'm motivated to get my January POP together. ( Pile of possibilities) I always have good intentions anyways but working at a library.......bless my heart😅
I'm thinking of not calling it a TBR anymore, but a POP.😋 I have The British Booksellers but am holding it for a few more months. Sounds soooo good! Had my Jan. POP picked by the first wk. in Dec. All winter bks.Snow, Ice, anything winter on cover or title; in a huge tote. Will start w/Snow And Rose. A retelling of a not so well known Hans Christian Anderson fairytale--Snow White And Rose Red. You look very pretty today. Really like your hair that way, top is perfect for you and your nails are gorgeous! "Pretty Woman"!
I love the phrase POP. I keep forgetting to use that when I'm filming. I will try to make the switch too! Love that you're going cold winter for your Jan reads. Have fun! And thanks for the kind words! ☺️
I love Janice Hallett! The Appeal is the only book by her that i haven't read yet. Oh, i really want to read A Natural History of Dragons. somewhere this year!
I’m currently reading The Examiner by Janice Hallett and enjoying it very much. Michele and I buddy read The Appeal and enjoyed it. Have fun with your January reading! I’m starting mine early!
There are a couple on this tbr (which as filmed before the cart video) that got recommended. I love getting to mark a few as read right away in the year! woohoo!
What a nice pile! I definitely want to get to A Natural History of Dragons this year, but it is intimidating for sure! I'll be looking forward to your thoughts. I'm hoping to read the frist book in The Penderwicks in January!
Looks like a good list, lots of variety! I don't know how I missed the January Patreon pick - I paused the video and got it for my Kindle. I have The Appeal and The Natural History of Dragons on my "someday" TBR. I will be interested to see what you think of them.
Looks like a good selection of books. Hope you have a good read for the start of a new year. I am looking forward to listening the memoir of The Third Gilmore Girl by Kelly Bishop this January. 🪙
I loved all your new prompts! Did you take all of the recs? I’m thinking it might be fun to create a prompt jar for myself and pick from it each month when I’m indecisive of what to read next. I do make a list of possibilities but am also a mood reader. Happy New Year!
I hope you enjoy A Natural History of Dragons--it's definitely more about the historical aspects and the main character's journey than it is about dragons! I just finished the series and really loved it. Historical fantasy is turning out to be my jam.
I could not find the book for this month but in the next months, I am thinking of participating more in the Patreon club. You got some really good books 👍🏻 By the way, I am doing a modified/simplified version of your game (mentioning you) in my TBR’s this year 😊🎲
@ In summary, I roll the dice once or twice and if I get one I read a tbr vet list book, if I get two I read a from pages to screen list book, if I roll three I read a random generator book, if I roll four I read a Turkish Shelf book, if I roll 5 I read a series finisher and if I roll six I read a readathon book 😃
👛💰Those are the only emojis i could find for "coin"😂I love watching your and Chantel's tbr games. Y'all inspired me last year to make my own game and i'm hoping to change up the game this year. Im excited to play and to read that Kristy Cambron book.😊
Hi Krista. Would you consider Havah by Toscanini Lee as one of your books to read and discuss as you did 4 books last year, I believe Christian books. That would be awesome. 📚
I am excited to read Havah in 2025, but for those readalongs I normally only choose non-fiction. I think I'll be reading Havah in Jan or Feb if I can fit it. We can buddy read if you want!
Hi Krisa did U have a good 🎄 I hope Ur family are well I'm looking to start a 2025 tltbr as I'm a huge audible fan and really like crime and mystery writers I'd love some recommendations .BTW I D love to meet U and ask Ur advice on how I'd start reading or listening and talking recommending books for a living and getting 📚 s from publisher s
I don't get books from publishers, at least not print ones. But that's because i don't really request them. Sarah from Sarah's Nightstand just did a video recently about how she requests books. I know on Netgalley you don't have to have a platform to request early release Ebooks. You just have to review them on Goodreads or Amazon. That would be a great place to start. I don't do this for a living. It takes a while to build up a following big enough to get paid enough to live on. I've been doing it for 8 years and it's only a side-gig for me. Hope that's helpful.
If you didn't say anything about the ripped dust jacket, I'd have thought it was supposed to be that way based on the style of the cover. "Age" the whiteness of the rip and you're good to go!
🎲 I’m compiling my list for 2025 now, going to try and read off my bookshelf as much as possible this year. I will be reading The Broken Girls by Simone St James for my library book club group. Have a blessed day!
Great pile of possibilities! I'm reading The Appeal in January, and I'm intrigued by Jane Harper. I think I'd like to read The Dry sometime in the first quarter of the year. Happy reading!

Ooo I loved The Snow Child and Station Eleven. I hope you love a bunch of these cold reads! Have fun!
Your little pot for your prompts is so pretty! Hope your first month of reading in 2025 is great!
Thanks so much! I hope so too.
A nice pile of possibilities! I will also be reading The Appeal this month.
Yay for Jane Harper and finishing a series!
Woohoo! Starting the year off right.
A great TBR to start the new year with. Your prompt jar is gorgeous!!
Thank you! I love my boxes all over my house. They're usually much smaller than this one, but I do love it.
🎲🎯🥇🪙 Ohhh I LOVE The Appeal. I'm reading it for the 3rd time! I read it last year...then again in October for an online book club and now for my January IRL book club! It is really really good. The 3rd time! Wow. I am so eager to read The Appeal. Can't believe I haven't yet! Good to know that you did like the audio.
I hope you enjoy Exiles by Jane Harper. She is an auto buy author for me. Happy New Year!🎉
I have read all of her others I think. Will be good to read Exiles too.
Nice mix of book genres! 📚 🎲🪙📚
I love having a good mix.
Love Jamie Ford! I have read all his books.
I'm excited to read Afong Moy...finally!
If you don't get to it in JAN, the Love Letter one would be great for FEB!!❤
True! But, I do hope to read it in Jan.
I was hesitant about the Light Pirate but was pleasantly surprised and really liked it. I think you might too! Any chance you could do a reading vlog for Afong Moy? I’d like to read along and see the gifts as I’m reading it😀
I will be doing a reading vlog and open gifts, but only Patrons will get to see it since it's our book club book.
❤📚🎲❤️
I ended up loving The Light Pirate!
I hope you enjoy all your reads.
I'm glad to hear that about Light Pirate. I feel like I haven't heard much about that one.
@BooksAndJams I hadn't either, but I heard a review that sold me. It is different, but really good.
Oh man! I was totally going to recommend Exiles! It's SO good!
Sweet! I cannot wait to read another Jane Harper!
I was yelling “Jane Harper!” And you picked it so yay! 🎉🥰 great minds! Ooh a dragon book, before you know it you’ll be reading Fourth Wing! 🤭
Woohoo! Exiles is the first one I started yesterday. So excited to finally get to it!
🎲 I can’t wait to read our book club selection! It has been on my shelf for way too long!
I'm excited for that one too!
Hoping to get to Kristin Hannah’s Winer Garden in January. Might as well read all the winter books when it’s freezing outside.
Perfect time to read that book. Have tissues ready!
📚 😂 I'm motivated to get my January POP together. ( Pile of possibilities) I always have good intentions anyways but working at a library.......bless my heart😅
I love a big POP! Haha. You blessed your own heart! Cracked me up. lol
@BooksAndJams 😜

Sounds like it will be a good reading month. 🎲
I certainly hope so! haha.
What a great variety!🎲
I thought so too! Love it.
Hi Krista. Enjoyed as usual.Take care.
Thanks so much, Therese. Happy New Year.
I LOVED the Light Pirate - one of my 2023 faves.
Awesome. I am looking forward to it. I wasn't thinking of reading it right now, but that's the fun of this game!
In January I plan to read a Lucy Score series, The Last One at the Wedding by Jason Rekulak, and Counting Miracles by Nicholas Spars.
🎲
Happy reading, Nicole. Hope you love them all!
I love Janice Hallett! The Appeal is the only book by her that i haven't read yet.
Oh, i really want to read A Natural History of Dragons. somewhere this year!
I am very excited about both of those books. I've heard such good things. Here's hoping we both love both of them!
I’m currently reading The Examiner by Janice Hallett and enjoying it very much. Michele and I buddy read The Appeal and enjoyed it.
Have fun with your January reading! I’m starting mine early!
I remember you both liking The Appeal. Michele has been wanting me to read it for ages.
I just recommended The Light Pirate on your TBR cart video.😅
There are a couple on this tbr (which as filmed before the cart video) that got recommended. I love getting to mark a few as read right away in the year! woohoo!

I only posted it in Discord. Took the pic this morning so I can officially announce it on Patreon. Sorry about that.
I wanna read The Last Love Note. Cant wait to hear what you think. 🎲💰
I am pretty sure it will wreck me! haha
Looks like a good selection of books. Hope you have a good read for the start of a new year. I am looking forward to listening the memoir of The Third Gilmore Girl by Kelly Bishop this January. 🪙
Fun! I have heard good things about that memoir. Enjoy!
I just bought Afong Moy right before Christmas at the library. I'm excited to get to it right away for patreon!
Yay! I am looking forward to reading it.
That's funny, I thought that rip on the front cover of that book was part of the cover decor. 😊😊
It almost could be! haha.
Going to get The many daughters of Afong Moy by Jamie Ford off pango that once upon a book club addition looks great!
It's so pretty! I am very hopeful for the gifts that come with that book.
Sounds like a great reading month ahead! Your nails look so pretty❤️
Thank you so much.
🎲 Happy reading, Christa !
Thanks!
I’ve just started My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante. Enjoying it so far!
I'm glad you're enjoying it! Happy reading.
I loved all your new prompts! Did you take all of the recs? I’m thinking it might be fun to create a prompt jar for myself and pick from it each month when I’m indecisive of what to read next. I do make a list of possibilities but am also a mood reader. Happy New Year!
There were a couple prompts that were too specific, but I used most of them. I love having a prompt help narrow things down!
I hope you enjoy A Natural History of Dragons--it's definitely more about the historical aspects and the main character's journey than it is about dragons! I just finished the series and really loved it. Historical fantasy is turning out to be my jam.
Nice. I'm glad to hear that since historical is my fave! haha. I hope I like it.
Looks like a great mix for January!
I think so too!
I love your prompt jar! 🪙🪙🪙
Thanks! I am glad to put it to use.
Afong Moy was such an interesting story! Your nails are so pretty!💅
I'm glad to hear that. I look forward to reading it. Thanks!
I could not find the book for this month but in the next months, I am thinking of participating more in the Patreon club. You got some really good books 👍🏻
By the way, I am doing a modified/simplified version of your game (mentioning you) in my TBR’s this year 😊🎲
Sweet! I will definitely check out your tbr! I love watching TBRs anyways. haha. I would LOVE to have you in more book club reads too.
Enjoy your reads for January!
Thanks so much! I hope I will too!
A sea of unspoken things and death by dumplings are two that I an to read in January. The Appeal sounds so fun!
I hope you love your reads!
I really like your prompt container. Maybe this one isn't quite as breakable, huh? 🙂
Good grief let's hope! haha. OH man. That was not fun.
great prompts in the jar!! 🎲🎲
I love the prompts for this year. A bunch of creative ones are in there too.
I forgot about Jane Harper series! I need to read #2.
It's not talked about very much so it doesn't stay on my radar either. I am looking forward to book 3.
🎲 I love your channel
Thanks so much!
Excited for you to read A Natural History of Dragon! The audio book is great
Sweet. I hope I can find it!
@BooksAndJams it's on hoopla
I also plan to read the appeal this month!! It sounds fun! I wonder what it’s like on audio?
I have heard the audio is actually pretty good. I put it on hold. We'll see if I get it in time to read in tandem.
I’m going to attempt to read Cloud Cuckoo Land in January in memory of Alice and the Giant Bookshelf.
Hope you enjoy it.
I read The Appeal and liked it
I have heard it's so good. I'm looking forward to it.
👛💰Those are the only emojis i could find for "coin"😂I love watching your and Chantel's tbr games. Y'all inspired me last year to make my own game and i'm hoping to change up the game this year. Im excited to play and to read that Kristy Cambron book.😊
TBR games are definitely fun to watch.
🎲🪙 Love your flip and roll game!
Thanks! I have fun with it.

I am so excited for that one.
I just got The Appeal from library after I saw the beginning of this videos.
Aww yay! I hope we both love it.
I am hoping to read Kitty by Deborah Challinor in the month of January
I've never heard of it. I hope you like it!
I don't blame you for waiting til 2025 to pick one from your new tbr cart.😊
I am still building the list for the cart, but so far it's looking so good! I can't wait to see which I'll get to read!
I read The Dry but I didn't continue on (yet at least). Im not sure why :-P I liked the first one!
Book 2, Force of Nature, was just ok for me, but I love Jane Harper so I'm eager to try another.
🎲🎲 Happy New Year.
Happy new year!
🎲🎲 Happy reading! I’ll be reading Jane Eyre!
NIce. Hope you love Jane Eyre!

How do you read 4 books in a month? Much less 6-8. Love your channel
I read every day and have a job where I can read a bit at work. I also listen to audiobooks so I can read while doing household chores.
If I remember right Exiles is the last in the series so you will finish a series!
Sweet! I am looking forward to it.
🎉
🎲Quite a varied mix.
I love it that way. Hope I like most of them.
