There are lots of DJs like Qbert and DStyles that are super clean and precise with scratching but I've always loved Mike's style. He's less about the pure technicality and is just full of creative funk. Turntablism at it's finest.
This was filmed before Serato became the standard Dj program. He now uses a laptop with serato on all of his performances. His performances are much more creative now that he is not limited to strictly vinyl. He still keeps true to the art form by using turntables, but times change buddy... He adapted and didnt stay behind.
Seen him already at Electric Picnic festival here in Ireland and I'm going to see him on Tuesday and he's playing with Gift of Gab of Blackalicious!! Can't wait!!
