I also didn’t like him slandering Cousins for being surprised about the pick. If you saw the reaction of QB school and other former QBs, they were all shocked to the point of speechlessness. It shouldn’t be surprising that Kirk himself feels hard done by
@hugeboi3669 He has no justifiable reason to be upset. Penix isn't there to steal his job, the Falcons guaranteed him $100m because they expect him to be their QB. So maybe they promised him they were going to use the #8 pick a certain way, but even if they had, that promise flew out the window the moment he threw them under the bus for tampering. There's a strong chance they lose next year's #1 pick, so if they want to stash a QB to develop, their timeline got moved up a year by his derpy decision.

Hoping the Chop, Phillips, Chubb rotation puts in a lot of work this season once they’re all ready to go! Also feels like the end of a season of my favorite TV show... Thanks for a great season of content! I'll be back for summer scouting!
Great following this entire process with you all! Made the draft way more entertaining and enjoyable for me. Would love to see you all evaluate previous draft classes. Cant wait for the summer scouting episodes!! Great work!!
The trade for Turner was well worth it. Even though they took him at 17, he was a player in their top 10 on their big board. And there is no way they wanted penix over McCarthy. They wanted maye, when they were denied, McCarthy was there target, and got him with out losing the 23 which is what everyone thought they would have to do to get him. Falcons taking penix really screwed the raiders if anything
I doubt they would have drafted him at 13 because of his injury history, Telesco doesn't take risks like that and Bowers would have still been 1st on their board.
Kudos to you both! Great year. I started listening to the podcast after last year’s draft grades episode (followed Trevor from KCSN) and stuck through this entire cycle with the addicts and boy was it worth it. Pencil me in for another full year of summer scouting, no notes, position rankings and What matters most! Hope you get a little rest before diving in head first to next year’s class lol. Spend time with the family. Don’t just feed them and slave away 😂😂🤣
As a Saints fan, I'm calling it right now: Bo Nix will be, at least, the 3rd best rookie QB this year, and not far behind #2. He's a perfect scheme fit for Sean Payton. I'm just curious to see how long it will take for Payton to give him the keys to his very complex offense, and with an underwhelming supporting cast so far.
I started watching you guys back in November. And to be honest, I wasn’t planning on watching summer scouting this year. But after Connor asking us to give them a chance and seeing Trevor do the 2025 big board and mock draft with pff guys during the draft stream, I’m definitely interested in following you guys year round moving forward, especially to hear about the upcoming defensive tackles and edges for the bears. Thanks for all your hard work boys
this was the best draft the pats have had in a long time. drake maye has a super high ceiling polk has a super high floor caedan wallace is a high floor guy javon baker is a high ceiling guy every pick made sense
I may be biased as a rams fan but giving up the 2nd for Fiske made sense. There was a run in 3 DTs (Ohrororo, Newton, sweat) so our hand was forced. Also if we waited at our original pick there would have been no starting DT available. Plus the team claimed to see great chemistry so I'm fine with them pairing up Verse and Fiske.
I'LL TELL YA WHAT IT MEANS, CONNOR. It means that you two are amazing and you both deserve some time off to recharge. Thank you guys so much for being so awesome for us.
Really enjoyed this episode would like to see a few episodes like this during the process next year full draft touch on some of the lower guys a little bit
Vikings will have insane cap space next year, and Kwesi might be making those trades with comp picks from Falcons/Cousins situation. Turner also way more versatile than verse in the Flores system vis a vie being able to drop cover in multiple blitz packages
My Patriots draft grade based on talent and value Overall - B Drake Maye - A+ Ja’Lynn Polk - B Caedan Wallace - C+ Layden Robinson - C- Javon Baker - A Marcellas Dial - B- Joe Milton - B Jaheim Bell - B
A thing regarding Jordan Morgan and Graham Barton, mentioned at the Packers part: Barton was announced as a Center, Morgan will start his career at LT, confirmed by LaFleur. Barton was a great fit for the Packers, but mainly as a Center in the first round? Feels extremely rich, especially given the options they have at C. Feels weird to hold that against the Packers. Yeah, the Hopper pick was weird. It totally makes sense to pick two ILB in this draft, but if you really pick a 3rd, just try Payton Wilson, who was still available at 91. The rest of the draft is really good tho. Gutey tackled the holes of the roster. This draft class is getting swept under the rug cuz the Packers havent really picked a shiny, premium position outside OT adn Kalen King in the 7th. Packers literally didnt need EDGE, WR, TE, CB.
I love the Chargers Draft! I wanted 11 & 23 from Min to snag Fuaga/JC Latham at 11; a CB at 23 & a WR at 37; DL in 3rd rd & LB in 4th. Once the Vikings deal fell through, they did the next best option.
How you felt about Myles Cole being a lock to go to Jags was how I felt about Javon Bullard to Packers lmao, even had him go there in a 1st round mock just because it felt like such a Gutekunst pick
Awesome work throughout the 2024 Draft cycle! Both of you deserve some time to rest after all the hard work, and I’m looking forward to all the summer scouting episodes in the near-future.
"Thats a Les Snead draft" 🤣I can't argue that we give up high draft picks a lot easier than other teams but there was gunna be a run of DTs going off the board and we couldn't risk losing Fiske so I'm not mad at it. Thanks for the grades
Absolutely LOVED the Chargers draft⚡️ Best picks I’ve seen in years! So stoked to see what Harbaugh, Minter and Herbert will do with this team! ⚡️Bolt up⚡️
As a Colts fan - yes! Love the Latu pick - he needs to add some power moves, but new DL coach Charlie Partridge will help him with that. If he becomes our version of Hendrickson/Hutchinson or even Watt/Bosa this draft will be an A+ for me even if the rest of the picks bust.
This was my first year of doing an entire scouting cycle and it's really sad to see it come to an end. I'm also a bit disappointed by what Jacksonville did after the first round since they took no one even close to the top of my board or even consensus. I'm excited to get into the next class, but I'm definitely gonna miss this one because of how special it was.
As a Packers fan, totally agree with what y'all said. A little confused with Morgan over Barton. Reminds me of Josh Meyers over Creed Humphrey cuz I was confused then too. Then the Hopper pick, which definitely felt a round or two early. I guess they needed to fulfill the GB 3rd round curse after skipping last year. We'll see. Really liked the 2nd round and 7th round choices
This is different because Morgan is going to start out at Tackle,we saw Barton as interior only. There were LB I liked more than Hopper so it felt like a reach, but we needed to come out of this draft with 2 LBs.
Sleeper pick of the draft is Tyrone Tracy, calling it now. That man literally JUST started playing the RB position and was a monster. His contact balance is insane, he just makes people miss and he’s a former wide receiver so he can be used as a receiving back as well. I thought that pick was insane value. I like Malik Nabers, Johnson and Nubin but the other picks were a little off to me. I feel like they maybe could’ve gone guard but it seems like they need a nickel corner so they can push someone else outside. Philips is a starting nickel corner for sure. Not afraid to tackle and can stop the run. Needs some work on coverage but I think he’ll be better than what they have currently. Sucks they couldn’t get Maye but at least those fans know they are aware that Daniel Jones sucks and are actively looking for a replacement. I still think they should’ve went BeeBe over Nubin but whatever, they are smarter than me.
I had previously only tuned in a couple months before the draft. I'll stick along through summer now. I'd love to get to know prospects before draft szn as I don't watch too much college football. Appreciate the content from these last couple months. Much love from Mexico!
As a Packer fan if you swap Hopper and Pratt, and swap Cooper and Bullard I like this draft. B is a fair grade. Nothing flashy but lots of depth and maybe 2 or 3 solid starters.
As a Texans fan I agree with yall. I'm trying to trust the process and not be down on my team when they look like they can go all the way this year but it was an underwhelming draft this year compared to the phenomenal draft they had last year. Not taking Edgerrin Cooper at 42 really took the air out of me but Cade Stover saved this draft in my opinion. I think he will be the next superstar TE like Gronk or Kelce with CJ throwing his way and Shultz along side him as well!
Packers: yeah B is a pretty fair grade, some good and some TERRIBLE picks. 4 massive reaches against consensus rankings, and for two for two of them they traded up and sacrificed picks to then reach massively. Just WTF. Agree on the positives, love the Oladapo pick.
As a Texans fan I agree.. we were two spots away from Cooper Dejean and I think that would’ve changed your opinions getting Connor’s #1 corner even not being in the first round.
love the analysis but to help shed a lil more light on the McKinnley Jackson pick for the Bengals, they wanted him to be their space eating, run stuff nose tackle like they had with DJ Reader. Obv Reader was incredible and did more but they value a guy that can eat up a double team if they need help run stopping. They just love their big ol' 320+ lb NTs.
As a Panthers fan, who wasn't thrilled with this draft, I still think you're a bit low on your assessment. They entered with 7 picks, none in the 1st Round and left with 7 players, one a 1st Round selection, AND a 2nd Round pick in 2025. Replacing the 2025 2nd we gave up for B. Young was pretty clutch and really pushes my evaluation up a bit. You guys didn't even mention it (when talking about Carolina). I think moving into the 1st (albeit 1 spot), and picking up a future 2nd - while still drafting the same number you entered with, is worthy of recognition.
Only thing I’ll say to Trevor about the Browns not having an impactful draft: who could they have taken to start? Maybe a linebacker in the second to compete with Hicks, but other than that nobody they drafted had a path to starting.
Future HOFer Audric Estime falling 5 rounds, landing with the Broncos and neither of the boys gave them an A+… all time miss! Really enjoyed this episode though, fun to see the bigger picture for each team
Connor, Texans traded down from 23 to 42 to grab an extra 2nd that was then traded for Diggs. So this draft class should include Diggs. Drop 19 spots and take Diggs.
Honestly, I’m one of those guys who tunes out of summer college football stuff year Im and year. But you guys are so entertaining, that I decided to stick around for that stuff, even before you guys asked at the end! Was gonna do that last year, but we had a child during the summer, so I didn’t get much time got anything lol
Audric Estime became one of my favorite prospects despite the fact that I knew nothing about him before the meme was created about him going #3 to the pats😂
That Howie Roseman meme is quickly becomming my pet peeve. Every year media hands out an A+ to Philly. "Howie has done it again!" Can we just look at how their draft classes actually turn out for once. So many of the big names and so called steals they got over the last like 4 years haven't rellay turned out that great. Jordan Davis, Nolan Smith, Keele Ringo, Nakobe Nakobe Dean, Jalen Reagor,... the list goes on. They usually find 1 or 2 startes with their higher picks and thats it. Has Roseman ever found talent past round 2? They are doing fine in the drafts, but nowhere near as great as a lot of the media makes it seem. I dont wanna hate on Roseman too much. He is a Top 10 GM in my book, but describing him as this GM-savant that plays chess while every other GM plays checkers is insane.

@@jameshannagan4256 fair enough
awesome draft season fellas. well done. this channel is going to be huge by this time next year
Kudos to you both!
Chargers had a plan and stuck to it. Colson and Rice being there was icing on the cake.
agree for the most part on the jags, baalke can’t help himself when he sees a guy in the trenches with high RAS and long arms
this was the best draft the pats have had in a long time.
drake maye has a super high ceiling
polk has a super high floor
caedan wallace is a high floor guy
javon baker is a high ceiling guy
every pick made sense
I may be biased as a rams fan but giving up the 2nd for Fiske made sense. There was a run in 3 DTs (Ohrororo, Newton, sweat) so our hand was forced. Also if we waited at our original pick there would have been no starting DT available. Plus the team claimed to see great chemistry so I'm fine with them pairing up Verse and Fiske.
I'LL TELL YA WHAT IT MEANS, CONNOR. It means that you two are amazing and you both deserve some time off to recharge. Thank you guys so much for being so awesome for us.
Thank you guys for all the content this draft cycle I loved all of it! exited to see what you guys have planned now after the draft great work🙏
Really enjoyed this episode would like to see a few episodes like this during the process next year full draft touch on some of the lower guys a little bit
Vikings will have insane cap space next year, and Kwesi might be making those trades with comp picks from Falcons/Cousins situation. Turner also way more versatile than verse in the Flores system vis a vie being able to drop cover in multiple blitz packages
My Patriots draft grade based on talent and value
Overall - B
Drake Maye - A+
Ja’Lynn Polk - B
Caedan Wallace - C+
Layden Robinson - C-
Javon Baker - A
Marcellas Dial - B-
Joe Milton - B
Jaheim Bell - B

Conor’s bias for Penix really shows he graded Falcons super high and all other first round qb teams relative low from consensus
⚡️Bolt up⚡️
Keep in mind, the team that gave up a future second to move to 39 is the same team that offered 2 firsts for Brian Burns
Me, being a 32yo Washington fan: "Oh so this is what a general manager and scouts look like"
This was my first year of doing an entire scouting cycle and it's really sad to see it come to an end.
Great 2024 draft year guys, rest up and go again for 2025 🙌🏻
Vikings projected to get minimum 1 but likely 2 compensatory 3rds from Hunter and Kirk leaving.
I had previously only tuned in a couple months before the draft. I'll stick along through summer now. I'd love to get to know prospects before draft szn as I don't watch too much college football. Appreciate the content from these last couple months. Much love from Mexico!
Face tanking this 2 and a half hour show in one sitting
As a Packer fan if you swap Hopper and Pratt, and swap Cooper and Bullard I like this draft. B is a fair grade. Nothing flashy but lots of depth and maybe 2 or 3 solid starters.
Not gunna lie, that sales pitch Trevor made on the Steelers OL makeover was straight out of Wolf of Wall Street 😂
Thanks to all the Addicts for such a great year 🤙🏻
1:15:01 is crazy
You guys are the BEST!! Thank you for the best draft content out there!!
I love how Trevor felt like he was being nice with most grades. And it felt like Connor was going for throats in spots lmao.
clipping 1:15:02 and if trev ever has a bad chargers mock its comin out the woodwork
As a Texans fan I agree.. we were two spots away from Cooper Dejean and I think that would’ve changed your opinions getting Connor’s #1 corner even not being in the first round.
No Diggs
love the analysis but to help shed a lil more light on the McKinnley Jackson pick for the Bengals, they wanted him to be their space eating, run stuff nose tackle like they had with DJ Reader.
Taylor Dadrion-Demerson on the graphic is crazy 🤣
Connor = a really tough and harsh grader for every team in this class except the team that had the worst draft
I know draft grades are dumb, but God damn you guys are entertaining.
as a falcons fan i’m not even mad we went with Penix. im more upset we took ruke orhorhoro over jer’zhan newton
Devin Leary and Michael Pratt gonna steals of the draft when they get there shot
