I took AP Euro last year, and I'm going to be taking AP US this year, so I've been watching these videos. From what I've seen so far, American history seems FAR more fascinating than Euro haha
It really depends on the topic. Some things about Euro amaze me and some things about US History amaze me... but then, elements of both bore me just as much!
Tom Richey Bore you! I find it fascinating. And really wish I'd studied Political Science & History instead of Business Administration. Now that's some boring crap!
Are you kidding me? The US barely has a history compaired to europe. I have no clue how you can find european history boring eventhough things actually happend and developd here. You didn't really have any impact on the world untill the end of world war 1.
WAIT! The blithe disregard of European Interests in Latin America during this period (despite the 'Monroe Doctrine') is a dis-service to comprehensive history.
Trans-Pacific opportunities during this period placed the United States in the position of that puppy in legendary nursery-stories who saw his reflection in the waters below the bridge he was crossing. Carrying a bone in his mouth, he saw another dog carrying what might have been a more desirable bone. Abandoning the bone he was carrying, our erstwhile mutt attacked that reflection to not only lose the object of his ambition, but to also lose the bone he had originally.
Our Philippines misadventure was an ill-begotten attempt to 'join-the-club' of Dutch, British, French, and other monied interests intent upon exploiting East Asian opportunities. Latin America was right there in our back yard.
Wasn't Suez canal built by the French?Correct me if I'm wrong but i think that the British staunchly opposed the project because it would threaten their trade influence.
Definitely saving this one for my students this year

They picked it up later
are you a pastor also, looks like you're in a church?
The européen countries should have shut down, the US hard, by blockading every US port, and had our own open policy in the US. Carving up the USA.
McKinley wasn't an imperial president?
This wasn’t very helpful
