+iVincentNeo Hey, thanks! You know what they say, build it and they will come. These UA-cam videos are usually hit or miss. Finding the right video takes a bit but I'm confident these will be seen eventually!
Generally, because UA-cam buries them, and they never get recommended or rarely see the light of day, unfortunately! They'd rather see a cat video, a video with some overly-animated goofball yelling at you with some hack material, or a complete goof or a total narcissist with no value to their content whatsoever get millions of views as opposed to some educational content with value. It's actually quite perplexing! Now throw in some content that goes against their clearly communist leaning agenda, and you'll never see any views. It's a shame that what was once such a free, wonderful, outlet for sharing has become so politically and commercially motivated and driven! One of my least educational videos, a video that I figured no one would ever watch is one of my biggest videos to date, imagine that!
hey I have a d3 and sound is not coming from the TV or Netflix app but Pandora is working. Could you help me ? or Do you think I need to change for d7?
I just want to take my tv optical and convert it to analog to go into my Preamp that doesn't have digital optical input...is this good for this? or should I use an Aries ll dac?
hi nice review Me having optical out for my smart TV & also optical in for my speakers, but I am not getting good sound output. what if I connect my Audio R & L using RCA cable meaning from TV to Fiio converter using optical cable & later using RCA cable to connect my speakers. will it work & improve the sound quality? waiting for reply thanking you in anticipation
Can i use this to imrpove the Sound of my PC Setup? I have a Soundcard which is connected directly with an optical Cable to my Receiver where i have 2 JBL Studio 220 and 1 Sub connected.
It largely depends on your receiver - does it have a quality DAC (or more likely, a DSP chip that decodes and processes all sorts of signals)? If you have a nice receiver, chances are that the internal circuitry will be better than this Fiio unit. Also, do yourself a favour and use a coax cable instead of optical - you'll get slightly better sound (read up on the effects of jitter and you'll understand why). Good luck!
Anyone know of a DAC that converts simultaneous inputs? Or one that actually has a decent f'n switch on it? They all come with some tiny little shitty switch that's a pain to switch..
Thanks for the great video! Very rarely do we get to see such a detailed breakdown/review of these mass-market products. Keep it up!
I wonder why your views for your videos are so low because I think that your content deserves more

This is so cool, I was on the edge on buying it but this definitely pushed me into buying it instantly
How did the product turn out?
@@Supremax67 Really bad lmao
@@Supremax67 don’t buy
@@sam_9228 -- Already bought it. It was for an active subwoofer and worked beautifully.
@@sam_9228 what would you recommend?
I really enjoy watching these type of videos, nicely presented item and good info\explanation.
4:00 I have used this I2S DAC in hardware dev projects, it's actually kind of simple and nice-sounding.
Excelent.!
Hi, I have the dac Fiio D07 who have the decoders dolby digital and dts (very good dac) ;) Did you made a video about it ? ;)

Good job man!
is this model better then all older mods? was WM8805 better than CS8416?

hey great video. does it come with the cables needed for it (like the power cable)

Thanks for the review! Does the USB receive digital input or does it only power the board?
Just power. If you're looking for a USB Dac, check out my E10 tear down.
why would they use that higher end chip just to convert to serial and do DA on the cheaper chip? What is the point in that?
