We Albanians have an ancient tradition of vocal singing without instruments which is called iso polyphony, therefore instrumental music is often superfluous for us since it is the voice that acts as master and guide .. Our isopolyphony is protected by the unsco and is cultural heritage of humanity.

The Fifth Element is a 1997 English-language French science fiction action film conceived and directed by Luc Besson, as well as co-written by Besson and Robert Mark Kamen. It stars Bruce Willis, Gary Oldman, Ian Holm, Milla Jovovich, and Chris Tucker.
The Diva Dance opera performance used music from Gaetano Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor: "Il dolce Suono", the mad scene of Act III, Scene 2. it was sung by Albanian soprano Inva Mula - a voice that has no equal.
Wonderful Albania!!! It is a whole family that sings with a strong call to the soul and spirit and that offers a universal and peaceful vision of love and family.

Sadly, no one really cared about the message. Entries like this get ignored by juries and the public. Albania mostly gets only televites from the diaspora. Sadly, no one else ever vites for Albania. Still, it was enough to get 10th at televotes. This year's ESC was very weak tho, weak mid pop were ruling. the winner sweden won basically just because the swedish pop industry has ties to all the international juries so it's pure nepotism every year. The second place, winner from the public televote and the only real contender was Finland. Other than that I only liked Croatia, which was mocking Putin, and Moldova
It also expresses the sadness of families breaking up, as in parents divorcing or siblings growing older and no longer seeing each other / talking to each other.

Amen! I am from Austria and esc addict! From the start (when all the songs where released in march!) Albania was my favorite… but this don’t matters at all: tatoo was euphoria minus 2.0! I discussed in a musical conservatory class - all said: this song is just the same than euphoria!!!! I am still so pissed!!!

Eurovision is geopolitics...should be called Slavic-Vision or Nordico-Vision.Albania has always great singers and performers....but we wouldn't win even with Dua Lipa! That's "euro"vision!!!

Never thought a day would come when we'd see you reacting to eurovision. 😭Sweden won (not thrilled tbh), although Finland (my personal favorite) got most votes from actual viewers. I love that there's more and more performances that include ethnic elements these days, I'd say those are definitely worth a watch. Also highly recommend to check out the winners of the past 2 years - Maneskin with "Zitti e Buoni" and Kalush Orchestra with "Stefania" (I'd recommend watching the actual MV of that one, not only the performance, bc it's actually hauntingly beautiful and moving)!
