The Mario cast is a perfectly structured comedy skit, holly shit.
Opens with the most bizarre casting choice possible, goes to a totally understandable one with peach, then 2 kinda normal but also weird choices and when you thinks things are getting normal again they go for the Key as Toad wild card and while you are still caught off balance with that one they totally slay you with Rogen as Donkey Kong.
The only thing missing is if they ended with:
"And Charles Martinet who has voiced Mario and many more Nintendo character over the years, is getting jack shit" *Direct abruptly ends*
Nobody outside of hardcore Mario fans know the name Charles Martinet. I think Nintendo probably wants this film to do at least moderately well.

When Dunkey saw the Nintendo online update he called the Xbox game pass a scam. I mean, sure it's more expensive and I was never a fan of having to pay a second time to play online, but Nintendo's isn't free either. Though to say that Nintendo's meager offering of really old games is somehow better than a vast selection of new games that Xbox game pass has just sounds strange to me. Don't get me wrong, I like that Nintendo is finally adding more games to their service (should have been done sooner, but I'll take what I can get), but to say that what Xbox is offering is "worse" just confuses me.
I think that you are taking very serious what Dunkey said.
Also he wasn’t talking about game pass, he was talking about the online price of Xbox and Sony.
It's a never ending drop of consumer expectations really. It's funny how despite being in competition, the companies will work together to make everything as expensive and annoying as possible.

I think the only reason they made Seth Rogan Donkey Kong, is because it would have seemed racist to make Keegan Donkey Kong. But even Keegan as Toad is a bit racist, because a mushroom head basically implies Rastafarian. In any case, all of these choices are terrible. The only one I could see working is Jack Black as Bowser.
I think Anya might do okay as Peach. And oddly enough, Fred Armisen as Cranky strangely works for me. The rest though will sound so weird, Chris Pratt and Keegan especially. I could maybe see Charlie doing a decent Luigi, it really just depends on what way Chris's lines are spoken
