“I see it, it’s in his yard” 😂😂😂 I was dying!!! If you know you are only shooting far passing shots, #3 bismuth will make a big difference. Great work! 🇨🇦
I wish our season was still open, I got a new job this year and it was hard finding time to get out and even scout, I think I only ended up with 7 birds this year
That stinks. At least you got out some!
@FieldandStew absolutely, better than nothing

Great video
Nice shootin some very beautiful ducks as well happy hunting
Great video
What do you use for raccoon bait
I say it in the video, but a can of sardines along with a small carcass/piece of meat. Though I'm sure the sardines alone would do the trick.
That's great stuff! 👍🏻
You have a great channel. If you took that raccoon meat and made a white sauce and added peas, carrots, and onions, you could make a delicious pot pie. Just saying.
Good stuff

Do you ever use 3.5's in the supernova?
Yes. Personally haven't noticed much difference between the 3s and 3.5s... except the kick. Lmao
@@FieldandStew I'm debating whether to get one. Its primary diet would be 3.5s but I'm not sure how bad the recoil would be on it. Is it unbearable or just firm?
Great idea! What a variety of animals and birds.

😋🍴
That's cool stuff! 😊
Our season just ended, my last hunt was on thr niagara river for divers which ive never shot at, holy cow they are bulletproof, knocked one out of thr air 3 times all within 30-40yds and it still got up and flew away, my buddy had to shoot a goldeneye 4 times while it was swimming before it finally died, shot a buffy 3-4 times and it also still got up. Using a mix of 2's and 4's 3 1/2 12g its crazy how thick their skin is
Yeah, those thick feathers on those divers act like titanium armor. It's wild 😂
It’s the next Cole prevose video

I noticed you don't burn the hair off your duck before you cook it.. noticed a bunch of hair on the back i was just curious. I guess everyone does it differently. Looked good. I usually smoke my full body birds and add a teriyaki glaze at the end and they are really good.
Sounds really good! Yeah, the hairs don't bother me, so I just skip that step and leave them on. Haha
Love the vids I jump hunt a lot
That little pond has trails and benches all around it - state or town park? Do you ever have dog walkers or joggers etc. wandering around during your hunts?
The occasional dog walker lol but it's all public
Nice sir new subscriber 🥰
Nice
I want a canoe now, that looked fun.
Frickin live your videos reminds me of how I hunt all the time
Fun stuff! 😀
Hey man just curious why you don’t setup a spread on that farm pond and wait for the ducks to come in?
They've been very inconsistent this year in the pond. I've set up with decoys there twice this year and had no success.
@@FieldandStewgotcha man, I would go check it and if it’s birds I would just leave them, that would be a hell of a hunt if you had that many coming into you!
First
I've been caught out swapping shells too. For autos and pumps I tend to just use a do-all cartridge now; for the 3.5 inch 12 bore 42g of #1's is a good option for everything.
Really makes you appreciate modern firearms. What type of muzzleloader are you using? A long time ago I developed a habit of running a wire through the touch hole after I fired the muzzle loader at the range. Really ream it out then hold it up to a light (in line) or shine a strong flashlight down the barrel and look at the touch hole (traditional) before I put in the charge I hunt with. I've never had a hang fire or misfire in the field but I have at the range, and thankfully that's where I developed the habit. Onward to ducks.
Oddly enough, the touch hole was clear, and the center holes of the gunpowder blocks were burnt black, but didn't ignite (I use white hots, so I could see that was the case easily with them). I use a Traditions Buckstalker .50 cal.
@ Wow. Wonder if it was a defect with the batch.
It happens! 😊
First
Maybe stake the trap. I don't know if it would make a difference.
Nice bag! Good job boys, looks like fun. What's your ammo of choice?
Federal Speedshok #4s are my go to for ducks
Awesome! What state?
MA
Looks like cedervill 😁 3 bays hunter here
I have a couple videos of that 8 pointer at 21:08 on my camera too. Such an awesome buck never caught up with him this year!
Why? Why sky blast and educate all those birds. You guys are “those sky blasting hunters” no one likes around. Jump shooting is great but the sky blasting is crap. You missed because the ducks were way too high…that’s the reason you were missing. Ridiculous and a 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼!
How does the saying go? You miss 100% of the shots you don't take? And sometimes you miss 100% of the ones you do. Yeah, they were a bit high up, but not out of range. Not with the full choke in. I just shot poorly.
Nice shooting man! Those geese dropped like logs. I was at that spot in Burrage this morning, must’ve been 300 geese flying around. What ammo are you using? I’m new to waterfowl hunting and trying to get things dialed in. It’s harder than you make it look! 😂
I was there this morning as well. I heard them all, but I wasn't on the mark, unfortunately. Haha Typically, I use Ferderal Speedshok and Kent Fasteel. They're my favorites anyway.
@ Cool, thanks man. Hopefully see you there some time!

What's your shotgun?
Benelli SuperNova
William wants to know what a banded duck means.
Biologists put bands on birds with unique numbers and record their age and location they were banded, so when a band is recovered (through hunting), you and the biologists can get a record of where they've traveled and how old they are.
@@FieldandStew thank you for letting us know he was really interested.
Is this public or private land?
Both
Mistake or hesitate to shoot a hen comes with a surprised result, eh? Happens to the best of us. Unfortunately the dog couldn’t find that sneaky black, it happens occasionally. Good hunt though.
Why do you thump the shotgun stock when the ducks are close? Gun froze up?
That's what activates the Shotkam gun camera
Congrats on the banded mallard!
Just watched your hunts for the first time and subscribed. What State are you hunting? Keep them coming!!
Day one was a really nice bag for just scratching them out where you find them.
Nice work!!! The last three ducks that were banded that I've killed were all hen mallards, and I shoot very few hens...Maybe that's a mistake!
