The business strategist Knut Haanaes of Norway highlights the importance of having a balanced approach in business based on what we already know and exploring totally new ideas. Good one.
I was keen listening and the truth of the matter is not about the accent or organization but the usefulness of the content which in short says that you can't do the same things and expect the same results explore and exploit is the key and I would like to listen to more of your videos I want to understand why many businesses fail and what can be done to turn that around. Thank you.
Loved the explanation of exploration and exploitation. I think it applies to human nature also, for success one must have balance between exploration and exploitation in their life.
TED Talks: you watch successful people tell you stuff that doesn't really help you get successful but makes you think for a few minutes before forgetting everything they said minutes later as you engulf a pizza and watch The Walking Dead while you're snapchatting your friend about getting drunk
We should start having a maximum size on these big companies or something as the bigger they get the worse off the public gets as the percentages of profits are continually cheated out of the system, either with lower wages or tax evasion or buying out other growing businesses. A step to a non profit future has to be a good thing
God help us from business strategists. They are just like gamblers, when they win everyone thinks they have a system. In cosmology its called the Weak Anthropic Principle . Why are we here? Because if it had been any other way, we wouldn't be asking the question,
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (air carpet target dish off jeans toilet sweet piano spoil fruit essay). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
(FACTS OVA FEELINGS). The major reason y Companies do a bad job on moving forward is because the group is not moving forward az a team in order to do tha these emotional conditions that r causing ppl to put the brakes on have to be resolved first
What is he referring to when he talks about innovation as only 30% percent of a company? 30% of money spent/invested? what does he mean when he says valuation of the company?
(FACTS OVA FEELINGS). The Major Reason Y Companies Do A Bad Job On Moving Forward is because the Group is Not Moving Forward az a Team in Order in Order to do that These Emotional Conditions that r Causing Peephole to Put the Brakes on have to bee Resolved First
My very first reacton when the video started was "his english is bad". That isn't true of course; it's actually very good, from vocabulary to pronounciation. But then, because he fails to even attempt english intonation (which arguably is the quickest part to learn) it just sounds way worse than it actually is. For native english speakers, imagine sitting in a classroom where everyone is learning spanish; and I mean everyone, not just those who decided they wanted to learn a foreign language. The teacher points to you to read aloud the next section in the textbook, and you're left with two alternatives: 1) try your very best to sound like a crappy version of Antonio Banderas, or 2) just try to stay cool, and read it with your normal tone of voice, and hope to score some underachiever-points. As surprising as it may seem, in my experience 3/4 will go with alternative 2, making it even more awkward for any aspiring Banderas impersonators to practice proper intonation. I'll take it this guy chose alternative 2 a few too many times, and now sort of wishes he'd taken the time to sound a bit more goofy back at school.
only 2% of firms can balance this paradox. how to be a member of that 2%? each firm has approx. 10% of its members with leadership responsibility, perhaps to focus on hiring and developing 20% (or even fewer) of those 10% to leaders to become a balanced leader on this two opposing requirements?
I thought this talk was simplistic and lacked content. For most businesses, managing the trade-off with innovation is not nearly as simple as presented. Did he say he was an academic??
I am a 20 year old male and I say that there many women out there that are equally liable for the success of multiple companies. Discrimination will not be tolerated against Women or Males, therefore please stop discriminating. The perspective of females is as equally vital as the perspective of males, no man or woman is above each other, is that understood?
***** I would appreciate it that you stop with the name calling please, that is how conflicts and disputes develop; you sound like a well opinionated and reasonable individual and I would like that we keep our counter arguments offensive free In regards to "production experiencing a decline", I have not seen any evidence that demonstrates this that does not mean that your idea is untrue. In relation to toxicity, drama, and backstabbing I have witnessed it being exerted by females in the institution that I have been present in, though some men exerted this because they literally were implicated by the females. You are entitled to verbally and non-offensively express your views at any time, however when your doing so try not sound prejudiced/discriminating.
+Chijioke Godswill Okoro i find your comments and political correctness offensive. . there, now since your comments violate your own "entitlements", i guess you'll be obligated policing your own comments from here onwards right?... right? . i guess its great that offense is so subjective, offence is taken - not given, you'd have a much easier time in life remembering that.
+Sexual Potatoes Why? It looks to me as if the Musk companies are great examples of this compromise. A bank, but faster. A car, but with an electrical engine. A rocket, but private-built and maybe one day reusable. A solar panel distributor, with optimizations. A low-pressure tunnel train, conceived in an open process with many of the world's engineers. Those aren't heavy exploration like the first iPhone, or the Occulus Rift. Nor is it plain exploitation, like typical car manufacturers or all those Hollywood super hero movie remixes. Those are prime examples of using old techniques, spiced with a few conscious adjustments. If anything, they are spot-on examples for this talk.

This talk is one of the big meanings of life & so i think it is largely underrated

Very enriching and factual.. He is a genius of theoretical and applied science for business strategies. Really productive and practical analysis.

Another great perspective of management and innovation
Another reason is that they don't invest one million into Kanye West ideas.
he bought that clothes line from the homeless
+Joshua Rainwater he wanted 50 million.
+Joshua Rainwater Perfect, lol.
Indeed, kanye is way too innovative ;)
+-Yttrium- no, he's far too deluded
Basically a different angle of wording the product life cycle

I guess business is not for me, then, because I'm always thinking in terms of a much, much larger future scale.

What do you want, low risk or high reward?
Very profound.
As an norwegian, the accent embarresses me xD
Uooge
Mha not really a problem I think
+VonGrav I think it's because it is your accent. I'm from eastern europe, and I absolutely hate our accent, but all other accents are fine.
+VonGrav Sorry it should be, as a Norwegian, en bror.
+VonGrav I like it.
a great video

Tell Kanye to watch this
Is he Norwegian?
+Erik A Falch He sure is. If his accent wasn't a dead giveaway, another hint can be found in the video from 3:00 to about 3:03.
+DahBjorn Tanks for not answering like a doucebag :D
Well, I did answer a bit like a douchebag, so I'm guessing that's sarcasm right there. I'll fix it: Imagine a ";)" at the end of my last comment ;).
