This is its former self, to be sure-- no computer graphics, no celebrity profiles, nothing of the sort! Don't get me wrong-- there are some interesting things every so often on Sunday Morning these days, but it was far better then and when I was growing up.
@@bmasters1981 The current SUNDAY MORNING no longer has the quiet folksy feeling that it had when Mr. Kuralt was at the helm...all the important parts are gone
I know that the opening theme for "CBS News Sunday Morning" is "Abblasen". The closing theme used at the end credit roll is not credited. It has a prominent flute sound to it. Does anyone know the name and the artist? It has such a peaceful, pretty, yet melancholy sound. If someone knows, please give me an answer. Thanks.
A lot of time used on a report on sports betting and not one word about gambling addiction as a social/psychological and personal problem. The song they played that delved into it at all was just all in good fun, but maybe it was not really all that funny in hindsight.
Tuned it to this for years .
Wonderful memories!
EVERY TIME I WATCH THIS, I COULD CRY...WHY?.....WELL SUNDAY MORNING IS A SHELL OF IT'S FORMER SELF....THIS IS IT'S FORMER SELF

RIP, Charles - we miss you!
Wow, Ted Danson and Audrey Landers in the shaving cream ad that was being criticized.
2:24 - How could Jeff Greenfield predict CBS's 1979 slogan "Our place or Yours?" It was actually "We're Looking Good!"
Lol this premiered the day after my mom turned 23.

So that's how it all started...and they're still using the same music...!
CBS Sunday Morning without nature on the very first episode, Why?
This is the very first CBS Sunday Morning episode without nature, right.
Why there is no nature on this?
No nature segment in this debut episode at the time.
No nature?
Today is the 25th anniversary of the Charles Kuralt appearance as a contestant on the July 4, 1997 episode of Celebrity Bucket Kickers.
It's Bill Gates.
