- Overnight on a coast in Denmark. Day one is calm. Day two is windy. I make flint and steel tinder. Open the full video description for more information.

Location: Denmark - previous viking country. Fyn - A lot of small sea and hardwood forrest. Not remote - a lot of people in Denmark so in general limited how remote it gets. A lot of birds and deer. No bears or wolves - nothing dangerous for campers. If you want to do the same in Denmark do you need to be the owner or get the owners permission.
_________________
Consuming: Water, chaga tea. Apple compote (water and wild apples, no sugar added), rye bread and butter. Tomato, onion, beans and cow cream.
_________________
Most asked questions:
1. How do you make the tinder?
Boiling amadou from the tinder fungus in 50/50 wood ashes and water for about an hour, hammering it flat and drying it. Use it only for flint and steel fire lightning.

the sounds of your tools are awesome, realy satisfying do never change the camera equiptment or the mic that u use to record
Agreed.
Yes!
Rune, I just recently found your videos and am now beginning my days watching one of them. I am an old man who lived wild in the Bob Marshall Wilderness of Montana for 17 years. I'm old now and have been relegated to living amongst city folks. Don't like it much, Just wanted to tell you how much your videos mean to me. They are a brief glance at life, as I remember it, at its best. Thanks man!
Hello, Mr. Trimble.
You don't know me, but I found your comment interesting and insightful.
May I ask what it was like to live in the wilderness for so long?
Sincerely,
Harper
Did you ever document your time in the wilderness Darryl? I would pick up a couple of copies of that book for certain. I also love Rune's videos, they bring my soul home!

I consider myself an experienced bushman. I live in British Columbia, Canada and have lived and worked in the interior and Northern BC for 40 years including 4 years working in the bush. I do not understand how anyone can give Rune’s videos a thumbs down. I consider Rune extremely capable in the bush. His videos are excellently shot, his methods are very efficient and minimalistic. I would put him up against anyone in the bush. I am in my 60s now and don’t get out as much as I like so I’m so happy I’ve found him to be able to vicariously enjoy what I miss so much. Great work Rune! BTW Rune, you would enjoy, and thrive in the Canadian bush. :).
i bet all the thumbs down are from other bush craft youtubers that are filled with envy .
Can you hear That? Thats the Sound of freedom.
I thought the sound of freedom was noisy roads and busy cities?
@@ahryan8557 Turns out it was all a big scam..as usual !
Modern society has reprioritized the mind of the masses. Watching these are such a tease; these are awesome videos but I can only dream that one day my young family can realize the truth of true happiness and contentment. It's not just bushcraft but self reliance and self sufficient. To see the true beauty of what it's like to do this and be this will reveal the real ugliness of modern society very quickly to the sceptical and the hard to convince type. Its truly is a battle between money and real happiness. Man , I wish I can do that and share it with my family. One day they'll see/feel.
😂😂
That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard
just the sound of nature has restored my mental health in such a way that it is almost inexplicable, thank you so much mate, greetings from Brazil, +1 sub
Outstanding camerawork. Reminds me of the very cinematic footage of "Swedwoods" here on UA-cam from Sweden. Very similar styling, quiet, no talking, lots of activity. Great stuff.
Imagine having this guy teaching you things for like 3 days. He knows so much !!
This was one of the most relaxing Bushcraft/"Outdoors-chilling" videos i´ve seen in the last 6 months!
*GOOD JOB* ....thnx for sharing!
All the best from Berlin/Germany.

I really enjoy your videos. No talking and no flashy stuff. It feels authentic and your skills are great. Thanx for sharing!
Endnu en superlækker video. Keep em coming. ;)
You and Primitive Technology are channels for me, the guy who needs relax sounds, with no commentary and to see a beauty of other countries.
Rune makes beautiful videos showing real skills.Well made.
Simply the best channel out here
You don't speak, you never look at your camera... I subscribed... lol. Denmark is a lovely place. Thank you..
Rather then peeing in your apples, I recommend just adding water :-) love your videos
I thought that he was doing a Bear Grylls for a minute.
@@gordonmurdoch3811 Haha like a Joe Teti, Im not doing it for the hydration! I'm doing it for a psychological edge! Haha
i was thinking the same thing hahahh
🤔🤔🤔 that he's pee or water
Lol
You have great bushcraft skills and great filming skills. Very nice cinematography. Calm and cozy scenery. No talking. Just perfect video! Great job!
The camera work is so good that when you take yourself out of the moment and realize what he actually did to get the shot and cuts for the various scenes- it takes away from his craft!
Really amazing quality and I really appreciate No Talking.
Thanks for the hard work.
@@troylynch9300 Yeah, this is what I was thinking too. Look at the transition between 8:19 and 8:20 for example. He actually moved to the camera and zoomed, then continued like nothing had happened. True master!
You have some amazing talent for bushcraft and filming and editing. Would be cool at some point to have a short video to learn about your background or something.
He must never speak
I'm 66 yo and have camped, hunted, hiked, all my life. I'm a carpenter/cabinet maker and made things out of wood all that time. I really enjoy watching you work wood. Thank you for not talk, talk, talking like so many "bush crafters" on YT do. You SHOW us how you use tools and wood to create utensils like our ancestors must have done. I love the sound that sharp tools make cutting through green wood by hand. The wind in the trees and waves slapping the shoreline for background music is peace to my spirit. Thank you for sharing your world with me. I'm fascinated when I can watch a master craftsman transform a tree limb into a work of art. Well done!
I just pissed on my apple pie and it tastes great....
These vids are genuinely a pleasure to watch though, so thankyou and keep it up.
Very good!
You know how to make good picture and how to do things by hand.
You are miles ahead most makers in this branch.
I am happy i found this channel.
здорово. Очень атмосферное видео.
You've quickly become one of my favourite bushcrafters, please keep this format and style in your videos, thanks for sharing with us
I love fishing in that kind of weather ! Great experience, thanks for sharing !
Hi Bro , we can also use horseshoe fungas to make charred fire starter by charring it in an old tin if we don't have fabric to charcoal :) it catches the spark very well ! The Australian natives used the dried mushroom to hold the fire from the previous camps and walk with it to to next camp , keeping the fire alive for long periods of time , even years , honouring the sacred fire , by keeping it alive in the smouldering tree fungus , nomadic genius :)
these videos are SO captivating! Great work brother, I'm definitely going to do this one day!
You have a great possibility in your life man, enjoy it! César from Brazil

Great video!
I love the way you make videos. No talking, no music, no distraction, nothing but sound of nature... Just keep doing more :-)
Loved the video except for the part where you pee on your apples 😂😂
Davide Ghisu: thanks.
Yes I know what it could look like... Next time do I make sure to include the water bottle in the frame.
@@BertramCraftAndWilderness I was just kidding! What you do is amazing and inspiring! Stay strong brother
Davide Ghisu same here dude, he shouldn’t do that. Is he dying or It’s Sahara Desert ?
Davide Ghisu I thought it look like that, too. I got to that part and went "wait a minute, did he just pee on his apples?" I actually paused the video to check the comment section to see if I was the only one. I'm glad to know that 1.) it was a water bottle and 2.) I'm not the only one who had such a strange thought. :)
Lol. I thought the same. What a hoot.
there is no music only the sounds of nature. Very nice. Edit:Thanks ;)
perfect cuts and scenes.. - the details are awesome. must be hard work to prduce all this. thumbs up, and keep on going. you don´t need to talk. pictures can speak on their own. - thank you!!

I never knew how beautiful Denmark is. My daughter's great grandmother came from Denmark. Sadly I only remember her first name. Johannah. I look forward to your videos because I miss the adventures of my youth.
"ok I am going to pack my stuff and enjoy the nature..." this is my thought when I look at your adventures. Thank you so much :))
The „Art of Bushcraft“. You really catch the feeling within your videos to be part with the nature. I like to watch your videos and I like Denmark!
Greetings from the ocean! I am a seafarer and I enjoy watching your videos man! Good job!

Words are never enough.. The silence is deafening. This is a true master who has learned from those before him. Never underestimate the Viking ways and you'll understand that there are some things to be learned. Thank you, Rune.
Thanx for showing! Very beautiful. Dankeschön
Ah, the danish weather..faithfull like my ex wife. Lovely video! Svampen du bruger - er det den grå hårde knold med flad lysbrun underside, der gror på vores bøgetræer?
I had a good chuckle at "faithful like my ex-wife". Thank you.
er det Chaga?

Ja. Bruger chaga til en varm drik og tøndersvampen til tønder. Tønder = optænding til ild. runebertram.simplesite.com/441067652
Hey hey hey now, that's inappropriate.. English please..were not all bilingual . . .and what was that charcoal and bark soup you made?

Just want to say that i'm a huge fan of your videos man. That close up shot of you at 7:45 is absolutely amazing. When I think of our ancestors from Scandinavia, that's what I imagine. Absolutely amazing friend.
Inspiring. Keep up Rune. Grtz from Belgium.
If you will boil your water first and then add your Apple pieces you will find they will not burn & stick to the bottom so cleanup will be so much easier
