I am a 7th grader with 4 c hair, my mom has permed hair and does not really know how to deal with it. Hi, Allayne...what a pretty name first off! I'm 26 with a 2 year old and my hair is natural as well. When I was in school about your age and earlier...my mom would perm my hair a lot too. It was bad. I used to have scabs from burn on my scalp and my scalp and I would think that my hair was SUPPOSED to be straight naturally because I just didn't know. At some point when I went to college I just cut it and its been a hard journey but worth it. My mom doesn't understand why I don't wear my hair out because I keep it in protective styles. I'm busy and I work and I have a 2 year old so.
Yes you are doing great learning and practicing it on your self. I am so proud of you. And you doing it on your own will show how responsible you are. You are amazing. I chose to do my own 4c because my mom was heavy handed. She knew how to do it though.
This is unrelated but here's some tips to help your natural hair grow. *Detangling*-You should detangle once a week on damp hair, working from ends to roots. *Moisturising*-When moisturising it's good to have a spray bottle (for water) and a thick bristle brush/tangle teaser hand *porosity* check replies for a definition *Heat*-By heat I mean hair straighteners/blow dryers etc. It ok to use heat every once in a while (using it on a low heat is helpful) but using it too much can result in heat damage. *wash routines*-It's good to have a wash routine so your hair can get used to the same products in the same order. Its also a great idea to use hair protein at least once a month. *Oil*-Using hair oil is another great way to help your hair grow but you need to remember that oil is *not* a moisturiser and that it only seals in moisture so you should use a moisturiser first. *rice water*-Rice water definitely helped my hair grow but you need to remember that it doesn't work for everyone and that in some cases it can damage hair even more. *protective styles*-Protective styles are another helpful tip but when doing a protective style you shouldn't pull your hair too tight or be rough with it since all you would do is break your hair. *gel*-Gel is great for styling your hair but you shouldn't use it too much or as a moisturiser as all it would do is build up. *common protective styles* *twists *braids *Good oils* *Jamaican black castor oil *Argan oil *Coconut oil *Tea Tree oil *Rosemary oil *olive oil *Aloevera oil. *jojoba oil *almond oil Sorry if I missed out anything.
Anonymous M High porosity can easily get moisture, but it can’t easily hold it due to gaps in the cuticle. With low porosity, it’s a little more difficult to get the moisture in there, but once it’s there it’s there. That’s because low porosity hair has tighter cuticles. Medium porosity takes little work (but still some just like any hair activity) because it’s a balance of the other two.
@@orokonaboba7157 I hope you learn to love it. 4c is amazing. When you start developing a positive attitude towards it, you will find out what it needs in order to make life easier for you. I've said myself that my hair WILL NOT slick down so I would just stay away from even trying it. But to see someone with hair similar to mine and to see how to manage hair like mine...you have no clue how much of a blessing this is! THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO🤗💜

Baby is looking good! My sister has 4C hair and I’ve had to section her hair just like this to get it in a ponytail because of the thickness. Lots of work but it can be done!
Thank you sooooo much for this tutorial!!! Your sister and I have the same thickness of hair, and honestly before finding your page I didn't think it was possible to have a real slicked down ponytail. Wowww Honestly I used to believe your own 4c hair could be slicked down only because it has a lighter fluffy texture. I didn't believe that the thick textured 4c hair could be slicked down. But wow you did it!
Gorilla snot definitely holds my 4c hair down, but it always either flakes up or pulls out my hair (coming from tip to roots carefully) regardless 🤷🏾♀️. Beautiful young lady. Her hair is the bomb😊❤️And a nursing student too! My daughter is a nurse and I know all your poor sister is getting to do is study. So sweet of you to give her a pampering break for her birthday.😊🎂❤️
My hair is a wonderful mix of 3b to 4a and i watched this as i am starting my 'edge laying journey'. Whilst it didn't really help with that, i found myself smiling as i saw the effort, love and time the sister gave to the quarantine birthday girl. Sweet.
Aunti Ada, thank you for doing this demo. You're one of the few naturalistas showing and PROVE your techniques not only work yourself but also others! I adore you videos, keep it goin :)
My hair is so disrespectful it never allows me to enjoy a sleek down bun like this. Just wish I could achieve this style, cause you make it look so easy.
I don't know why people hate on girls who say "I have 4c hair". This is 4c , the real deal and this here looks like my hair exactly. It give you a headache when u dont comb it gently. You don't just comb it with any cheap brush. It grows very long but will be looking short when it is humid. This is the most coarse hair you can imagine to have. It was not appreciated before they use to laugh at our hair, so bad and now that we have it they are hating on us because it is trending. Lol! If you can make a bun with it then you have a good reason to pop a bottle of champagne.
OMG! If it takes this much work to slick down my hair, I'll say forget it! Just braid it and call it a day! 🤣 I hate so much product in my hair. Real 4C hair is no joke! I do like the results, but da**!!
After all of those products, another washing is required else build up will make the hair dirty. The effort and result is commendable. For me, was already planning on adding relaxer to my hair only to see a friend cut her Permed hair cos of my virgin hair,, now I'm contemplating
@@katodd2925 yeah. I'm trying to consciously learn to go for what I want and enjoy my decision. Ended up relaxing it and the next plan is going low. That person who cut her hair started the virgin journey and got deflowered shortly after 6 months, she couldn't cope...
I have 4c hair and to comb it and have it slicked down it gives me trouble, but now that I've seen this method I am definitely trying this. Lovely video❤ Thank you!!
Now I know I can do mine too!!! She looks so pretty. Happy Birthday!!! When you started, her facial expression was saying it’s not gonna work. By the time you got to the middle part,, she looked a little more optimistic.
This was beautiful and she knows she looks fresh and spicy. I love the look on her. But I also noticed you have some beautiful hands, smooth coco coloring, nicely shape and the nails gave the fingers a lengthy effect. You should do jewelry modeling, your hands are perfect.
Not helpful to me because im white but i just wanted to comment how beautiful her hair is! I really enjoy these videos because some of the hairstylists iv seen you girls get really is art! The amount of time it take to do it/sit through it is just wow!
That gorilla snot is to heavy to pile on like that, that's y u had a white cast. Spray entire head wit water, apply leave in condition for slip & detangle. Get a light gel & apply the same way, you will get the same results as long as u tie it down. Jam is good too & a good hard bristle brush
Goodmorning babes 🌹; thumbs up if you found it helpful 🙋🏾♀️💕

toria02 Aww I am glad to hear this babes 🤗💕
My hair is a wonderful mix of 3b to 4a and i watched this as i am starting my 'edge laying journey'. Whilst it didn't really help with that, i found myself smiling as i saw the effort, love and time the sister gave to the quarantine birthday girl. Sweet.
That's my Adanna😩♥️♥️. She is soo good. I wish i could meet you one day 🤗🤗
Lordina Margaret Thank you baby girl 😭🥺❤️
@@AdannaMadueke welcome love♥️
Aunti Ada, thank you for doing this demo. You're one of the few naturalistas showing and PROVE your techniques not only work yourself but also others! I adore you videos, keep it goin :)
U see when the genetics runs in the blood eei u can never go wrong 💯😂😂💓
Stunning!!!! Queens representing 4C waves, versatility and did I mention y'all beautiful
My hair is so disrespectful it never allows me to enjoy a sleek down bun like this. Just wish I could achieve this style, cause you make it look so easy.
She is so beautiful.
Her skin is flawless. 👍👍👍
The fact that my hair is longer than hers but I still can't slick it back😔
Hurts af😭somebody help me
Same girl same and I'm 4b. My hair just refuse to
Same to me. I have a big fro and it can't just go down to a slick look. I just don't know😂
Same i don’t if is because i have a big head😂
Same its in between
You killed it! She's lucky to have a sis you look after her like you! She looks gorgeous! HBD to her :) Bless you !!
I felt like it was me sitting there
My hair...gosh! Is this harrrrd...my hair is the definition of a proper 4cccc
Aw so cute. Her confidence was shining thru. It's just something about getting your hair done
Happy birthday to her! You always have amazing content! I love your channel! Keep up the great work! She is fabulous!!!!!
I hate so much product in my hair.
@@chiomamadu4887 Everybody wants what they don't have. How sad.
@@katodd2925 yeah. I'm trying to consciously learn to go for what I want and enjoy my decision. Ended up relaxing it and the next plan is going low. That person who cut her hair started the virgin journey and got deflowered shortly after 6 months, she couldn't cope...
She did mention that this is for a special occasion so I think its not an everday look
@@roxannesantos8918I get it. Even so, too much manipulation. I would go a different route.
I have 4c hair and to comb it and have it slicked down it gives me trouble, but now that I've seen this method I am definitely trying this.
Lovely video❤
Thank you!!
I didn’t know that this was possible! That’s how thick and short my hair is . 💓 lovely
Yess
She is gorgeous! Well done ladies!
Not helpful to me because im white but i just wanted to comment how beautiful her hair is! I really enjoy these videos because some of the hairstylists iv seen you girls get really is art! The amount of time it take to do it/sit through it is just wow!
Hello Adanna I enjoyed your video and you did a great job on your sister's hair. Please have a blessed day.
Her whole attitude changed after her hair and make up was done.
Also noticed the instant confidence.
Happy Belated Birthday! Your sister did you proud! You look a Beaut! 👸🏾
I surrender , 🙌🙌🙌🙌 you are the best, I'll actualy try this
La5eme Hairstudio I am humbled 🥺 thank you beautiful! Also, please let me know how it turns out for you 💕
Actually*
beautiful ladies, I loved the hair. There's nothing greater than a sister's love. Happy belated birthday.
Thank you 😊
That gorilla snot is to heavy to pile on like that, that's y u had a white cast. Spray entire head wit water, apply leave in condition for slip & detangle. Get a light gel & apply the same way, you will get the same results as long as u tie it down. Jam is good too & a good hard bristle brush
😄I noticed that too..Too much Hair Products..A Hot Straightening comb will do or Gel and a Thick Hair Brush.
She definitely didn’t know what she was doing.
The 4C wave pattern looks nice when its laid, and slicked hair emphasizes her beautiful face and neck.
She's gorgeous...great job!
Such a loving sister. This was lovely to watch. Looks great!
Im learning all these things at my big age. Very helpful, and i caught some other tips too, thank you 💛
Finally someone who understands my hair type thank you
