@@peaceplace4565 if you’re not yet… might sound counter productive but DONT you can still get 22/25 without knowledge outside the spec with is an A**** better to brush up on your knowledge of the spec tonight
Massive misconception in this video. You do not need to link between paragraphs in the Biology essay, you only need to link to the title. AQA have clarified this, so don't make the essay harder than it needs to be! Hope this helps.
So it’s two separate things: enzymes can catalyse the formation of bonds (making structural proteins) as well as the breaking of bonds (digesting proteins)
hi this was super useful thanks - do the paragraphs need to be interelated to one another or as long as each topic links to the question should we be fine?
@@mrhowebiology7667 AQA has confirmed it does not need to be interrelated between paragraphs, it just linking back to the topic. Hope it makes it easier for others.
Really good, detailed video but i was going to ask that how many topics from one unit can you cover in your essay? Say for example for a cycles essay, respiration, photosynthesis and nitrogen cycle are all from unit 5.
Thanks for dropping a comment! I always tell my students to cover 4-6 different topics to show a synoptic approach. As long as you cover the topics in a detailed A-level fashion you will be set! It can be tricky to know what ‘counts’ as a different topic but use the spec along with the markscheme and that should help e.g topic 3.6.2 will be marked as a separate point to 3.6.3. There are also some sample examiner marked essay available online that really help 📚
What do you want me to cover next?? 🏆🎯
How do u go beyond the specification to get those top marks?
