That DAP T70 Looks just like my old Komet K-78. Mind you it's been 40+ years since I quit IKF competition but I would've sworn that DAP was a K-78. Thanks for the visceral memories and the fast version of hooking up the engine. 1972-1979 was a real good time in kart racing in California
20K RPM direct drive - the pinnacle of kart tech... The winding of the 2 strokes motor vibrates your brain and stirs your internal organs. Great Video to share. The sound alone brought back many fond memories. Thanks for sharing.
I used to race with TT27's as a school boy, they were clapped to the point they were blowing flames out the exhaust, but could still keep up with the reed stuff, such smooth power delivery I think i need one in my life..
Helo It is 2021 and I still drive parila 100ccm Good motor and chep for rebuild. Goes like rotax on gokart track. If parila driver make mistake just then rotax can overtake. Also 1996 I drove state championship with parila.
Hi! These parts were all gathered through online market places, by searching a lot. Sadly there's no one place where you can buy these engines, or separate parts as we know.
I have a old track kut saw an really didn't know what to do with it so I took it a part an it reminded me of a old go kart moter . I love 2strokes an every one I get I always do work on them over the years I got really good at it potting was very difficult at first but understanding the concept of how turbulence an how to atomize the fuel better makes a big difference in the Pawer you can get from small changes I'm not that smart but I have add an when something gets my attention it seems that I just can't stop Intel I either fuck it all the way up or make something amazing. I have always made shit for as long as I can remember I was about 7 when I made my first go kart it wasn't much but I was about 7 haha. I have a bad habit of over thinking everything an it drives me an others crazy sometimes so I spend most all my time alone life gets hard at times but it's all I know the past few years has been the hardest two years of my life I can't lie its made me give up on life for awhile but now I'm trying to pick myself back up but it not been easy I've been through more hell than I would ever wish on anyone its left me with problems but I would go through it again if I thought someone needed my help sorry I talk to much I'm just crazy but you would be to if you known what I've been through haha nobody ever said life would be easy but nobody would go through the shit I have for someone else either its about killed me
Fantastic stuff. Thanks for sharing. I couldn't see the peak power properly for the TT27 there and obviously the T70 wasn't shown. What figures did you manage to see ? Also, was the T70 and T70TT ?
Hey! Really nice work to see and hear those historic machines on a dyno bench. What I really like to know is: did you ever test a 135cc engine on a dyno and compare the testchart with a 100cc engine?
Motoplat ignition.... my dad used them on his kart engines: modified Minarelli 125cc with his own cilinder and yamaha tz-250 expansion chambers (1 used obviously)
Hi, these engines and parts where collected through 'Marktplaats', Ebay, and that kind of online market places. Best way to find these old parts is through searching the internet a lot. Unfortunately we do not have addresses for you on where to get these parts.
Hello. I have a similar engine . A parilla tg14. I'm trying to repair it and probably you can help to me Do you know the engine ignición timing? And a approximate needle setting for carburation? Thnks.
In my youth, I'm 68 now, I raced a McCulloch mc7/8 which had more transfer ports than barrel wall. Later I had a Parilla GP15L which came with a dellOrto and very soft disc timing, that finished up with a flat slide carb and vicious disc timing and good for 24 bhp. I got into rotaxes via Manx/Arrow engines and finally a Rotax senior 125cc, but by then I was too old to race
How I got into karting, I went to school with Alan Turney and knew him and his dad Bernie very well, both of them great people, sadly Bernie passed away some years ago
@ Goran Romer Sombor sorry for the late reply. No I havent had the opportunity to find someone that rebuilds these by me yet. I havent really tried however, I'm looking now as I'd like to get it done and installed on one of my karts. I have a '70s Margay Concept Enduro(lay down) frame which is the kart I'll use with this motor. If I can find a tech or rebuild book for these motors, if they are out there, I'll rebuild it myself. I have 3 Parillas at the moment. 1 is complete and the other 2 are nearly complete however, they came with a bunch of new and used parts. All parts look very good. Thebrods and pistons are in exceptional gondition the cases have no cracksnor damage and the heads are beautiful on all three motors. No cracked or broken fins and super clean if you have any info or advice you can share I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you. Spencer
@@VHMspecialracingproducts yes, but they are very small and often obscured by adds for other videos because of the idiots at youtube keep messing with everything.

Pinacle of engine failures.
Same here
Unforgettable full throttle sound of these fantastic engines. So many good memories. Thank you
Brings back memories of my TT27, racing around Rye House, Hoddesdon
Same here👍😊
I Raced TT27 and Rotax in period and as Senna said "pure racing"
I used to race with TT27's as a school boy, they were clapped to the point they were blowing flames out the exhaust, but could still keep up with the reed stuff, such smooth power delivery I think i need one in my life..
Love my Di Angelo Parilla (DAP)
I had one year of 2 stroke karting in 1979 with a DAP T70 on a Zip chassis. I can remember it like it was yesterday.
I got a komet k78 myself but i dont know what clutch i need, im kinda new in the engine world

This is by far the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life 💪🚀🤠 I would never in my life stand that close to a clone motor or Briggs at those rpms ;)
a briggs never in a dream will get that many hp or rpms
How many Rpms is it ? I Run my Briggs around 10,500 Rpms . Enough to shoot some billet side covers into the arm.
@@cupwalker24.7You can double that rpm figure with the old 100cc two strokers :-)
What is the chance that you would send me one of these great engines from the past ??? Thank you for considering Sir. Peace
COngratulations from brazil!
First motor i drive on pcr f1 remember sound love forever
At 0:04 , the tt75 is second to last engine on the bench?
Hi! It's the DAP T70.
Hello, what power and rpm do they develop, thank you, excellent video
From the late 60's, or early 70's I seem to recall an engine called the Corsair T70 100cc. Is this DAP T70 engine the same ?
Hello, the Corsair T70 is a precursor to the later created Dap T70 - T75 - T77. Engines look the same, but are different on the inside.
Auf was für ein Zündzeitpunkt stellt man den Motor?
wat laat je ze weer janken Ad elke keer een feest als je er weer een voor mij getuned had betrouwbare motoren nooit een kapot gehad

I have a Dap 100cc engine do you know where I can get a ignition
Hi! These parts were all gathered through online market places, by searching a lot. Sadly there's no one place where you can buy these engines, or separate parts as we know.
Hi, I also have a DAP T70 100cc, I’m trying to make it work with an italkit, seems like a nice fit for this engine!

Hi! We've never tested a 135cc engine, so no comparison as well.
I have such a Rotax 100 motor. Are these the same motors? What kind of carburetor is needed for this engine

I have several of these engines
will you sell any of your Parilla engines?
Hello. I have a similar engine . A parilla tg14. I'm trying to repair it and probably you can help to me
Do you know the engine ignición timing? And a approximate needle setting for carburation? Thnks.
Hello, the ignition timing 2.5mm for top dead centre (TDC). No advice for the carburation setting.

Hello,
I have 2 parillas that need rebuilding. Are you taking on customers? I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
Hi! We do not tune or rebuild any engines ourselves as VHM, this was just a one-time test.

So what was the HP rating? That sucks?
The first engine is the Parilla TT22?
Hi! The first engine we test on the dyno is a Parilla TT27
What is the last one on the bench in opening shot? I am told mine is a BA 13 where could I get info on them. Or how to tell what I have.
Hi, the last one in the row from the opening shot is a Rotax R100 DSB from 1989.
Hox % oil for this engine please ?
Hi, we use mix ratio 1:20 (Race Fuel from Ecomaxx, oil from Vrooam)
Looking for parts if you have any. PM me
Motoplat 😍 !!!
Hi, do you sell those DAP motors ? Thanks
Hi! No we do not have these DAP engines for sale.
Why don't you show or state the power figures in any of your videos?
Hi! Than you haven't seen many of them ;) In this one we don't, but most of our dyno video's have the graph stated at the end.
@@VHMspecialracingproducts yes, but they are very small and often obscured by adds for other videos because of the idiots at youtube keep messing with everything.
PARILLA TT27 IS SEXY LOVE THE SOUND
Close your eyes and think of Kimbolton, Camberley, Tilbury or of course Rye House!
I was never a fan of tilbury and camberly. But Kimbolten and rye👍. Did all my club racing there back in the 80”s.
Mit diesen zugeschnürten Luftfilter, können die Motoren nicht mehr Leistung haben!
