I’m a technician and work with my hands for a living - but I didn’t trust myself to apply the hood ornament, so I paid the dealer to install it, LOL! I always have this compulsion to reposition things that use adhesive - and it’s hard to suppress, even with guides like you just utilized. Judging on the strength of the adhesive, repositioning would be highly unadvisable! My Outlander is Labrador Black, so of course I chose the chrome option! There's a small white Styrofoam piece inside the package that you can tape up on top of the big Mitsubishi logo that matches exactly the slot on the middle part emblem that you missed out on showing on the video. This way you don't have to worry about misalignment of the Letter A on the logo before installing. It guarantees that it is 100% aligned.
I am 50 years old and I always either buy a new car base model of mid level trim. Well last week I said FUK it and traded in my 2016 Outlander Sport for a 2022 SEL Touring. The car is off the hook! The heads up display is freaking awesome and don’t get me started on the tri A/C system and front and rear seat warmers. Now my teenagers can control their own temp for the A/C in the rear of the car. Cons: No spare tire and the BOSE bass speaker is hidden inside the compartment where the spare tire should be so it’s hard to hear the bass at the front of the car. After 1 week I love this new model and the touring package was worth it.
Couple questions. 1. What's the difference between getting them from the dealership & on Ebay. On E-Bay some were charging $17 & some of them were charging $95. Any difference? What's the better way to go? 2. How abt once you put them on , how long do they last if u get a car wash everyday or at least once in two days.

Not sure about other options on the market - there is always cheaper options but typically it reflects the quality - letters might fall off or letters to peal etc. These accessories we're using have been verified by applying them on hundreds of cars. Even older cars are holding up just fine. The main thing is to apply it properly - degrease the surface and follow this instruction video. Once applied, I'd give it a few days before you do carwash etc.

Clean first with wax and grease remover, use hair dryer to heat area if below certain temp. use lining template to centre letters, tape and peel centre first and sides individually, it comes with detailed instructions not mentioned in this video
If installed in dealership, it's typically done by mechanics during the pre delivery inspection process. Otherwise, it's pretty easy to install by anybody. Just follow the instructions.

Quick question , how do you put that suv in neutral if the battery dies?
There is a sequence of movements with the gear selector to put car in neutral. Ask your dealer for instructions. They may not give it to you though.
Options are:
Black
Chrome
Sat in chrome

With silver I'd probably go with Labrador black - it looks like flat black. Black diamond will have the sparkle in them.
