Every once in awhile i come back to this video. Such an incredible storm. 2012 was one of the best years for intense weather. The lightning in this storm was incredible. And the green at 12:10 is so ominous, but beautiful. Incredible cell.
By far one of the best thunderstorm I`ve ever seen on you tube.. And i watched this almost the same day as it was published... Big fan of thunderstorms :)
I could live here just for the weather! I love intense weather! When I die, I've always said I want my energy to transfered into a storm cloud. A beautiful strong one like this!
This is the most seriously dangerous lighting i have ever seen, in years. You did a exceptionally great job of video tapeing it, in my neck of woods. We never have storms like this, this is my all time favorite video to watch. Whish you guys had more videos of these big lightning storm, the best ever i seen on UA-cam.
I'm pretty disappointed in our weather, really. This sort of thing doesn't usually happen in residential areas. Now the US supercells, the ones that look like mother ships, thats what I want to see!
I have done a lot of storm chasing in Oklahoma, and its cool to see a storm rotating the other direction. You guys did a great job in this video. No screaming or getting too close. And its so nice to see someone show the whole storm and how truly awesome it is, when you are far enough away to get the proper perspective. Too many people focus in on the funnel cloud the whole time. Well done. Stay safe. Look forward to more good work from you.
Greetings from Canada, ON! That is an amazing storm...I am happy you guys had footage from almost the very beginning of it, and am pleased to see that you guys took your safety seriously. Keep up the great work!
Holy cow, what a monster! Insane in every respect - the structure, the black clouds, the green core with all that rain and hail, the wicked lightning and rotation. Absolutely stunning. Great footage! Greetings from Germany.
One of the best storm vids I've ever seen. I spent 25 years of my life in S.E. Qld and never saw anything as violent. Wish I went chasing for these. Might move back!
Absolutely impressive structure. I haven't seen a rolling boiling shelf cloud with microburst condensation "fingers" like that in years. Also at 13:10 that was far far too close for anyone's comfort shit I jumped out my chair just watching how close that strike was. Well done boys you caught a good one here.
Ohw wooooooww i love that cracking sound of these thunders, beautiful skys and clouds and beautiful nature all around. The lightnings and the funnel are stunning! I love this video so much! Thank you for sharing with us :) Wish i was there with you that day. I share it on facebook :) Love and peace from The Netherlands.
We had a supercell and a very big downburst 2 days ago in The Netherlands on june 23, 2016, especialy in the South of this little country. More and more supercells arriving trhough the years from France or Germany., mostly build and coming from France between Paris and Normandia. Never tought it where happen a downburst so hard. 33 trees on a row were broke off like lucifers and more trees were blown down, on houses and cars and buildings were damaged by large hail of 5 or sometimes 10cm, Windows from cars and glasshouses and also buildings were shattered bij the hail and also roof tiles. There were even dens not only in cars and roofs, but also on a field of gras like hole in ones, and even a poor pigeon was hit bij a hail stone, was cut open and died the poor one :'( Luckely no one was hurt, only one man who was electrofied in his basement because streets and even highway's where under water. Also many lightningstrikes which set also a farm and a house on fire. Never saw hail and a downburst so strong in our country like this before in The Netherlands, but we were on the Northern edge of one of those supercells. We are lucky, or not lucky if you love this weather. Just how you wanna see that :) But we have seen many crawlers, CC's and CG's with load thunders in a very dark grey green sky. Impressive enough. The large hail was from a big supercell in the South (when a small country can be big because in the North they had no raindrop at all). Im living in the Eastern Netherlands, so we had much thunderstorms and ordinary rain, but scary skies. You can find a compilation or copy paste "Storm 23 juni 2016 Brabant Zuidoost" (free translate "Storm june 23, 2016 Brabant SouthEast) Another one you can find short video's to copy paste "Noodweer 23 juni 2016" (what means "Heavy weather june 23, 2016") I have to translate because they didn't discribed in English, only in Dutch launguage. Maybe i can do something back for you because loving big storms. These storms were pretty unusual, for shore in the past. It happens more and more to even our little country: Supercells and downbursts. It's pretty ironic, one year later i visit you here, and one year later we have the same strong thunderstorms while it's unuasual here normally. Excuse me for my English, i try my best i can. But i hope you'll enjoy the vid's :) (not made by myself, i wish)
Absolutely amazingly beautiful...... Watching it make its way here to Redcliffe was amazing but this video shows the enormity of it even more. Well done team.....
That is some hypnotic footage guys. Awesome work, high energy, cocentration and adrenaline lined. I am born and bred on the darling downs and i can tell you that in 30 years of intense storm watching I can say that funnels are a relatively new phenomena for this part of the world
That was seriously cool! I loved the green colour too. We had a storm like that pass over my former home in the UK. Same green and produced a tornado too.
Sometimes I forget that while here in the northern part of the US we're freezing our asses off and bogged down in a half meter of snow, you guys are whooping it up with all these awesome summer storms.
All the severe weather ingredients were definitely there, and corresponded very well together. Wicked storm and great video. I have never seen a video this well shot. LOVE IT. Great job guys (my name is Cameron too, LOL)
An amazing Beast so to speak...!! That baby wanted to touch down so bad.... Nice catch you guys !! I know this video is a few years old but wanted to give a shout out....Awesome stuff. If you come over to the States this season stay safe you guys !! From TC, Michigan, USA.
Wow!!! That was amazing and intense. That green color was the richest color green I have ever seen. I've seen blue/green color, but never so green. Thanks for capturing this and posting. Added to faves.
Fantastic footage of a supercell storm. Here in the Uk they are very rare but perhaps with global warmimg we might see a few more in the next ten years or so.A real supercell storm is quite awesome to behold and i think you have captured it perfectly.
This was so beautiful and so terrifying at the same time. I don't think I have ever seen such great video of a storm in my life. They did a really impressive job of this. I love Australia with a passion. I visited in 97. It was heaven. This has got to be the most lightning I have ever seen. Such brilliant video. I live in Alabama so I know storms. The only one that comes close to this was our F4 in Tuscaloosa in April of 2011. Very nice job!
amazing video! its awesome! i would like te be there because i like this kinda weather and it would be an awesome exeperience to see a tornado. great! lightning was also cool.
Wow. Great job mate. One of the best storm's ive eva seen. Shame im a pom and the weather over here's never as good. If i come over your neck of the woods, your taking me chassing!
If the audio were in true stereo, it would have been even better! Still, this was amazing, especially when you hear that whistling wind during that rotation! I love storms!
Oh my god Id give ANYTHING to storm chase in australia, that storm is unbelievable and eerie! The cloud structures and dark green color is unreal, id love to see something like that here in WV! Simply beautiful!
Nice nasty looking storm, and that was some scary lightning; I'm glad you moved, I was about ready to reach in and pluck you out of harm's way; GREAT footage!
Nice! That was quite a respectable storm. The hail was impressive too. We get storms like that frequently in Dallas, Texas. They are fun to watch... until the hail totals your car.
I dont wanna sound like pesimistic or paranoid... but I always imagined the end of the world would look like this Supercell right here... Awesome job guys! Keep it up!
+j luke Hypernova I've been in something slightly worse twice in central Florida. Imagine your in your home, and a close lightning strike rips through the calm, the vibration resonating through everything. Then another one comes, then another, then another, with the frequency decreasing until there's only about 1 second between strikes, ALL of them close by (the flash & the thunder is almost simultaneous). This lasts for a few minutes. It sounds and feels like your neighborhood is being bombed. We got scared enough that we went to the middle of the house (away from the windows), and crouched down until it passed.
That is really dangerous lighting, i never seen lighting get that dangerous. And i seen thunderstorms but seeing this tornatic supercell wow! Deadly lighting
Wow! If your storms are like that every time I'm moving to Australia and a porfolio to boot. We get storms here in MN that pales in comparison to this impressive, breathtaking and eerily scary all in one Supercell. I was sure it was going to drop a tornade. I have seen green before but nothing this intense. Love the dialogue and that down under accent. You don't need a red bull. You need something else to calm the white knuckled nerves. I definitely would stormchase with you all.

Near death experience you gotta love it.
A perfect one liner for a storm chasers dream.

The green color means a lot of hail or large-sized hail with excessive rain
That green is magnificent!
That rotation at 14 minutes or so is absolutely terrifyingly beautiful!
I've thought about that too!

Damn Australia. You got some sick weather!
I'm pretty disappointed in our weather, really. This sort of thing doesn't usually happen in residential areas. Now the US supercells, the ones that look like mother ships, thats what I want to see!
MPAH1981 as an Austrian we never get this weather. Well i have been in the netherlands where they sometimes get some fking big supercells
***** at least you get sun down in BC we get pissed on and hardly get any snow
OmenicronGaming I live in Holland and really, our storms are not such a big deal. Last time I've seen a supercell was when I was 10.
Yeah im disappointed in our weather too. I want storms like florida. These storms are very rare tbh
one thing i always miss about Australia when im away - the beauty and power of the summer storms - where day turns into night - absoulutly beautiful

Depressions have a clockwise rotation... Even tornadoes mesocyclone in southern hemisphere including Australia
"We gonna get close strikes soon"
13:10 No shit! That was a warning shot!
13:10
I thought my heart stopped after that close lighting. He play it like it was nothing. And a funnel with this storm bonus.
@@Kona-chan60 that was long before timestamps were introduced
This video is awesome and unique, it's cool to see videos of supercells from countries other than America
Greetings from Canada, ON! That is an amazing storm...I am happy you guys had footage from almost the very beginning of it, and am pleased to see that you guys took your safety seriously. Keep up the great work!

Incredible lightning and storm footage. I've never seen that many CG strikes in a single storm. Great footage. Thanks for sharing!

How often does supercells happen in the land down under? I thought these were tornado valley exclusives
@@DavidSmith-qe4px pretty frequently actually. We also get tornadoes, just not usually as big as the yanks.
So you were in Queensland at the time but live in Hobart? Little confused
