Well made and GREAT attention to detail. I downloaded your pattern and subscribed. What did you choose to seal the leather with? Thanks for your work friend!
@majutworks Thanks for such a great video and the pattern. I'm almost at the final stage and have one quick question: When you glue the inner part to the front part (05:30 to 05.50) it looks like you only glue around the edges. Can you tell me why you don't glue the whole thing please? Thanks a million, Phil
@@majutworks Aha, thank makes sense. Thanks a million for your reply, I knew there had to be a reason !! I'll do the same. All the best from Ireland, Phil
@@majutworks Hi again, just wanted to send you a big thanks for the video, pattern, and advice. I slightly changed the pattern to make the roll a little longer and to make the pen slots all the same size, but I followed your process for everything else. Finished it this morning and extremely happy with the results. Thanks a million, Phil
May I suggest adding captions explaining what is being done and why? Leather working patterns are notorious for their lack of pertinent details and explanations.
Polyester threads can be treated with fire. Hemp threads do not dissolve and must be bonded. Tapes were used to prevent stretching in areas under load.
Why did you tape the stitch lines on the inside of the leather? Is it to prevent it from leaving an imprint showing through on the leather on the outside?

Good job. Btw what did you rub on as a finish at the end just before sticking in your tools ???? Was it Neatsfoot oil ???? Just curious. Thanks 😊👍
It is good that his gentleman did this video for youtube. It gives people a chance to learn a craft that was slowing dying away.
Oh, I love it. With a bit of modification, this could be a perfect case for my carving knives.
My thoughts as well.
Crochet hooks, knitting needles. So many other things.

Very nice.👍
The perfect gift for the friend that has everything…love it ❤️❤️❤️ thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas
A map pocket would be a nice additional touch to make an Explorer's pouch.
As a pen hoarder, this is amazing.
Exactly! I make a bunch of pens and this would be great for them

Awesome job!
Nice work
Beautiful.
Just an idea, but if you put another more open position in the strap then you could keep a writing scroll in the middle of all the pens.
Beautiful 😍

Really nice ❤️
Beautiful

Hello.
When all the interiors are glued together, the finish is hard.
If you bond only the edges, the opening and closing will be smoother.

Always love your work! What is the black tape you use? Why do you use it? Where is it sold? Thanks!
Used to stop thin leather from stretching.
I have included the URL in the summary section.
Thanks

What do you use under your pricking tool?
Hermoso, pro!

Beautiful !! There are a lot of different things besides pens, pocket knives, special tools, cutlery, I can't wait to make a couple
Epic.
really cool. How can you just burn the ends of the yarn, doesn't it loosen over time then? or is it some special type?
i should have watched the rest 😅 but does the tape hold the yarn good enough?
Polyester threads can be treated with fire.
Hemp threads do not dissolve and must be bonded.
Tapes were used to prevent stretching in areas under load.
What is the curved surface you're using when you punch your holes?
looks like sheet of vinyl tubing cut down 1 side to make flat sheet?
Nice color effect. You used one color reduced at 1st stage and then decreasing reducer or 3 different colors?
I used in (1) blue, (2) navy, and (3) 50% blue + 50% navy.
Thank you very much.
Hello from Spain, I liked it very much😍😍😎😎, where did you buy that metallic ruler, please? congrats
I found it in the home improvement center.
Thank you very much.
Why did you tape the stitch lines on the inside of the leather? Is it to prevent it from leaving an imprint showing through on the leather on the outside?
This is to prevent stretching in areas subjected to load.
Thin leather is not essential, just in case.
Excelente
very nice, why the black tape?
Prevention of leather stretching.
Thank you.
