That's great man, please also consider doing it with the rear top speakers, that would work for me because my ceiling is very high.
Definitely. I'm already planning to do that. Hang tight!
This man built the q1000c
Trust me... the Samsung Q1000C would be much worse than this as it would have to depend on reflected sound. DOLBY recommends DIRECT facing speakers... so he made the ULTIMATE TRANSFORMER edition :D
Is the version of this speaker model compatible with the Samsung Q600C Soundbar?
OMG !!! This is gonna be insane!! I will watch it in full in like 2 hours from now... as Im at a family dinner now but I just had to say: Wooohooooooo Letss gooooooooo !
Ok so if you tap into that specific driver in the 990C surround, it’ll just play what’s meant to play from the phantom side channel? This is really cool but I still don’t want to lose any accuracy. Great video!
Yes, it only plays the side channel. I've found it to be way better than the existing configuration
Do you think the subwoofer speaker can change to a more powerful speaker?
Yes, that's possible
So is it also possible to create "in - ceiling" speakers the same way for a very high ceiling?
Yes, that's very possible.
@@nh-tech anyway what is your ceiling height and your height channel volume? Both on the rears and the main bar
It's 9 feet high, and my height channels are set to max. Even that, I've been contemplating whether to add ceiling speakers.
Interesting video man keep up the good work 🎉
Out of interest does it pull the rear side only or a mix. Because isn't that kit atmos enabled
It only pulls from the side driver. The 9100 speakers only have front-firing drivers
Excellent, looks like issue with the voice you recorded. Please take care next time
Wow amazing man! Bro my Q990c rear speakers have a blue signal but its doesnt conenct! Also the hdmi signal do not work, only the bluetooth ones but i will do it anyway, but are there any suggestion to to the rear speakers anything in setting or something, it has a blue signal and i did the reset thing. Maybe because my tv is from 2017! No earc! 2017. Keep up the GREAT WORK!
Try using Bluetooth to your phone and play something and see if it works. If that works, then it's the TV. Also, check the audio levels in the smartthings app. Could be that the rear speakers are set to zero.
I bought the Q990B, thinking to use rear left speaker as right and the right as left and swap the inside wireless card. So the surround sound go direct to the ear because I do not have wall to bounce. Do you think is it workable?
I think that should be possible, just that it's too much work. Now on switching the rear speakers, that means the side firing drivers would face each other and may not give you the best listening experience
just wondering after all of those modifications, wouldn't getting a normal audio system be cheaper and less time consuming? you added plenty of extra speakers and subs and I was wondring why do that instead of getting regular speakers that can work well with any set up and can add to them without having wo manually modify them
You make a great point. There are advantages to using an AV setup, but a good receiver that does Dolby Atmos like the Q990C is not cheap, together with speakers will probably come to a similar cost or more.
@@nh-tech oh then if it cost more than I'm all for what you have done. Enjoy your set up man
He’s adding speakers with to amps that aren’t designed to drive them. It won’t end well
How did you learn this thanks
From experience and curiosity
He’s learnt nothing sadly
so no understanding then

With the same thought, we expect you to separate the ATMOS speakers in the bar :)
I'll do that
@@nh-tech As a Q990C owner, I am looking forward to your work.
I've been thinking about this for more than a year, it's good that you did it :)
nu am vazut tampenie mai mare in viata mea! Ai legat in paralel 2 difuzoare, lucru care iti poate arde toata boxa spate.
Say goodbye to any warranty coverage if a anything goes after this modification😂😂😂
You will still get the side effect without the wall. Run the sound optimization. Samsung really doesn't want u to open those speakers lol
I guess they should add 2 additional surround speakers, Lol. From my experience so far, the difference is like night and day. I bet even the engineer who designed the Samsung system will prefer listening to the sound from my mods. Lol😆. On a more serious note, these mods take the already great q990c to perfection!
No way!!! 😮😮
All the modifications you are doing to you 990c, maybe you should have considered the Dragon, lol.
I know right! Lol. I may get the dragon though
Actually the Dragon suffers from the same issues the 990C does. Indirect ATMOS, no sides ect... sure its got more power, higher quality components and 2 Subs but it doesn't let you add ANY better Sub ect... So these modifications will really make this better than the Dragon by a mile... or more. At least in theory.
You're actually right. The dragon still has two satellite speakers and hence the same principle as the Q990C, except it has better bass. Meanwhile, the Nakamichi Shockwafe rather has 4 satellite speakers. Either way, there's still room for improvements. BTW, I got the speakers I'll be using for the ceiling, and will start working on it on Monday. 😎
@@nh-tech *buckles seat-belt* 👌
If you enjoy doing this stuff, then knock yourself out. But wouldn't you be better off just running a 7.1 receiver and setting it up properly?
Im I the only one who doesnt feel the "height" Atmos in a small closed four wall room?
It could be the content. Try with "Top Gun Maverick." Meanwhile, you can check out my video that I modified the system with actual height speakers. It's way better after the mod.
People!
Ya los desmadro el Güey!
so youve halved the impedance of the speakers because your wired in parallel .. the amp will love that..
do elaborate....
@@PEM-zt5rdit’s simple wiring theory, if you don’t understand then don’t do it
@@PEM-zt5rd careful when connecting both speakers in parallel, as equivalent resistance will be reduced to half (assuming resistance of both speakers are equal) and if it is less than rated resistance of amplifier, the amplifier will be heated more which may lead to damage amplifier.
i understand the wiring, its my job. thats why this is incorrect.
@@dbefore7165could something end up damaged doing things this way? Or is it only a matter of impedance/not enough power
I still don’t understand why people buy a one peace soundbar !!
They don’t have space
Space savings and also fewer connections
