In India, every place is important for some different reasons and in India there are huge number of places which has tremendous tourist attraction.
सिद्धभूमि गिरनार पर्वत, जिसे हिमालय का पितामह भी कहा जाता है, हर साल महा वद नोम से लेकर महा वद चौदश यानी शिवरात्रि तक भवनाथ मंदिर के आसपास भर जाता है। यह मेला स्वयंभू है और इस मेले का केन्द्रस्थान दुनियावी लोग नहीं बल्कि साधु हैं। नोम के दिवस पर भवनाथ महादेव के मंदिर में ध्वजारोहण कर इस मेले की शुरुआत की जाती है। उस समय देश-विदेश से विभिन्न संप्रदायों के साधु-संत-महंत एकत्रित होते हैं। इस मेले में साधु-संतों के ठहरने के लिए अखाड़े की व्यवस्था जूनागढ़ के अधिकारी करते हैं। इस मेले में एक ओर साधु-संतों की शोभायात्रा निकाली जाती है तो दूसरी ओर सेवा कार्य करने वाली सामाजिक संस्थाएं, धार्मिक स्थलों का निर्माण किया जाता हैं।
समय के बदलाव के साथ इस मेले में काफी बदलाव आया है। जब कुंभ मेला लगता है तो साधु-संतों के ठहरने की अच्छी व्यवस्था की जाती है। क्योंकि एक साथ बड़ी संख्या में साधु और संसारी गंगा नदी में शाही स्नान करने के लिए इकट्ठा होते हैं। इस प्रकार यहां शिवरात्रि पर लगने वाले भवनाथ मेले में साधु-संतों के ठहरने की व्यवस्था गरवा गिरनार की गोद में की जाती है। क्योंकि यहां कई साधु-संत मृगकुंड में स्नान करते हैं। इस मेले में दसम के दिन से ही पूरे भारत से साधु, संत और संसारी लोग आने लगते हैं।
गिरनार की भवनाथ तलहटी में भवनाथ मंदिर के दाहिनी ओर, विशेष रूप से साधु, संत के लिए, उनकी धूना के लिए अलग-अलग आकार की एक रावटी बनाई गई है। जो आमने-सामने दो पंक्तियों में व्यवस्थित हैं, क्योंकि इन साधु महात्माओं के दर्शन का लाभ जनता को मिल सके। ये साधु जब आते हैं तो अपने अपने सेवकों को भी साथ ले आते हैं। लिहाजा मेले में ठहरने के दौरान साधु को जरूरत की सभी चीजें उनके सेवक मुहैया कराते हैं। जैसे चाय-पानी, दूध, जलाऊ लकड़ी आदि... नोम की सुबह जब भवनाथ महादेव के मंदिर पर ध्वजारोहण किया जाता हैं तभी वहां सभी साधु एकत्रित होते हैं।
Mahashivratri is one of the largest and most significant among the sacred festivals of India. The festival celebrates the Grace of Shiva, who is considered the Adi Guru or the First Guru from whom the Yogic tradition originates. The planetary positions on this night, which is also the darkest night of the year, are such that there is a powerful natural upsurge of energy in the human system. It is enormously beneficial for one's physical and spiritual wellbeing to stay awake and aware in a vertical posture throughout the night.
