How do they compare to the zman chatterbait? Zman is 3$ cheaper and is the best that I have found on the market (original chatterbait) and I have had some of them for years
The original doesn’t have the hand tied skirt and double hook keeper and a few other features of the Clickbait that you will get only with the more expensive Z man models, but even then, they’re both too similar with how the clickbaits beads are designed
Westin Smith for the average person that fishes chatterbaits every once in a while would you reccomend going more pricy or just supergluing the trailer and using the cheaper zman?
You’ll be fine either way. I used ONLY originals for so long and when I finally bought some Jackhammers I realized the difference with the hand tied skirts lasting way longer and plastics not falling off although I never did the superglue technique. Now that the Googans have launched a bladed jig and those guys are the ones who inspired me to start fishing a few years ago they have my support for sure
The stealth blade definitely didn’t thump as hard for me but stealth being the point I don’t think it matters. If I get more Jack hammers I will just be getting the standard blades ones

Do you have a preference on which to use? (I just got a baitcaster)

I love the googan squad and baits but the one thing I am disappointed about is that all the googan baits are made in China- kinda sus for a bunch of patriotic dudes
They look great and I'm a big fan of Googan but these clickbaits suck, they' need to be reeled dead slow or they'll surface immediately.. The do not want to stay under. You could use A thunder cricket, any of the Chatterbait models or a Slobberknocker and never have that problem and easily catch as many,, if not more than a clickbait. Not trying to hate, just don't understand not mentioning that problem when promoting a lure but thankfully more and more videos are being made about this issue. I wish I had known about this before I went out and bought several of them..
