Adele Mara and Leslie Brooks could've worked well together. A film noir with two femme fatales definitely would be much more interesting than just one.
I worked for Clyde Beatty, and Leslie Brooks co-starred with him and Abbott & Costello in '49's AFRICA SCREAMS. I got an address for her, and she signed a photo for me, with a nice letter about working with Beatty. She co-starred with Basil Rathbone in THE WOMAN IN GREEN. A great Other Woman and a femme fatale like few others.
