Let's not forget, the tungsten sharpener was 1200 grit sandpaper, you had to sign for a postal stamp sized piece. Only the bosses sons got wet and dry, the rest of us get that timber stuff
That's nothing. I had to go up hill both ways, across a swelling river, in 8 feet of snow, through a crowd of leftist dems, pitch black and against hurricane force winds both ways. All to find out I forgot my tungsten. Upon making the trip a second time to learn the breaker was turned off for the grinder.
Just like driving stick, if you don't ever grind em, you ain't driving. With everything in life. If you don't make mistakes here and there doing something, you're not doing anything and infact are the mistake yourself.
Lmfao, we kept the angle grinders locked up in a cupboard, that way we knew if one of our welders fcked something up 😂 not only do they have to do the walk of shame with a grinder in hand , but the whole area jeered them when the grind sparks started too😂
I love watching your videos I just wish they were longer that way you could watch your technique cuz you're a bad man when it comes to a TIG. What that wire do or rod
I keep 6, double sided. But i also try and go as long as possible without needing to sharpen them. If i go less than a full week between sharpens, i know ive been screwin up hard.
80% of the time prepping the joint, 1% sharpening and 19% of the time welding. In an Ideal world that is, when the Tungsten is dipped, the percentages easily add up to 300 % 😂
You could get a lot of sharpened tungsten so you can do a quick change, or are you just looking for an excuse to walk around? Just Joking. I know it seemed like I was always sharpening tungsten, but now, after 3 yrs of practicing, I might have to sharpen tungsten every now and then. Practice, practice, and practice some more. I bought Aaron’s training and after 3 days and maybe 300 or 400 beads later, I was laying down like I had been welding aluminum or years. Seriously made all the difference for me. And no, Aaron didn’t pay me to write this.
All videos, no talking, no tuition (maybe a few text inserts) just watching you work I and others can learn. Impeccable timing mate 👍🏻 😎 seen you draw in last video not too bad, but got this theory that shit hot welders are usually good at other things. Would love to see you on snooker/pool table 👍🏻 any good? Thanks for all the Weld por my friend 😎
I allways make sure to have enough spare tips right next to my welding. To make sure I can finish the weld. Otherwise I would have walked a couple miles extra I guess😜
I tried welding with a camera between my legs once and it was truely awful, so I'd blame that for the little accident, it's just an awkward location for a camera, especially for someone with the kind of balls to show off their welds on the internet.
All welding/fabrication questions are answered on the website www.6061.com (not here in the comments section, sorry. Too many to keep up on)
By far this is one of the best welding channels of all time😁
The best alu welder I've seen, proper precise and clean and sick beads, helped me loads man cheers pal Anglesey, wales UK 🏴 👨🏼🏭
Absolutely love your setup nice and clean. 🇦🇺
I’m not a bad welder, I just like taking walks to my bench grinder 😜
Great video 6061 🤘
Back in the day we had to walk a mile through 3 feet of snow to sharpen our tungsten.
I wish I had it that easy ............................. had to walk a mile through 36.8 inches of snow AND it was uphill BOTH ways.
Let's not forget, the tungsten sharpener was 1200 grit sandpaper, you had to sign for a postal stamp sized piece. Only the bosses sons got wet and dry, the rest of us get that timber stuff

MORE BROKE DICK COMEDIANS......
uphill, both ways...
Hello my friend on that first lap joint what was you frequency at?
I try to search for leRn Tig . Found you. Thank you for ur video.
As a confessed tip dipper I always sharpen a batch of 4 tungsten's ready to go. I usually figure it out by the second or third dip..
Even the best welders duff the tungsten time to time. Anyone who says they don't is a bold-faced liar.
Just like driving stick, if you don't ever grind em, you ain't driving. With everything in life. If you don't make mistakes here and there doing something, you're not doing anything and infact are the mistake yourself.
Ive never gotten the tungsten stuck.
But it’s because I’m not a welder.
I've been welding for 32 years. If you say you don't hit the puddle now and then. Liar. True story.
👍
You the mostest slam dunked that! A bit of left handed practice?
Lmfao, we kept the angle grinders locked up in a cupboard, that way we knew if one of our welders fcked something up 😂 not only do they have to do the walk of shame with a grinder in hand , but the whole area jeered them when the grind sparks started too😂
Excellent point about the importance of getting up and moving around.
Well..
It still happen to my to stuff my tungsten into the paddle especially after a long working day...
Btw
Good job as always 😎✌️
Judging from all the typos in your comment, I think you wrote it after a long day, lol.
I was watching the work bounce in the first weld and said to myself, "hope he doesn't dip"...
Happens to the best of us.
Good to see even the best tig welders sometimes also weld their tungsten to the work like I do - or do they?
😳👍
Tell us how to set-up A/V and frequency for almunium welding. PLEASE. HAVE A NICE DAY.
this man out here welding in flipflops
Do you know how to fix aluminum pulse settings still new machine not working
Hi sir I am tig welder from Pakistan. Very nice weld
👍🇹🇷🇦🇿🇵🇰
Do u have merch
Can I have a shirt for first comment 😂😂 love your work man
@@6061 The Stig of Tig autographs?
Nice Welding Job 👍
I love watching your videos I just wish they were longer that way you could watch your technique cuz you're a bad man when it comes to a TIG. What that wire do or rod
Good job bro ini anak study 💪💪💪
I cannot imagine with those skills you dunked the tungsten "accidentally". This Kip part was hilarious!
Sir my question was one which ampere machine should be taken to kill Tig aluminum job welding?
My grinding location is in a separate building in the back yard … I grind 10 or so at once but it does help you pay attention
Please make a video how to stop creaking welding with tig welding
This is nice job ..Mr professor..
Thank you so much for video,I’m a new learning for this your video help me a lot.
Excellent video as always, nice to see even the best can visit the tungsten Spa 😊
omg! he IS human! :) ...personally, I never dip....but now I know what it looks like if it ever happens.....
Man you do amazing work. You should talk and tell us how. Great stuff and thanks
Too Good. 👍
If someone welds aluminum in their flip flops you know their really good..💯
Leads to a whole new definition of "hot foot". even worse pun: next time, he will be sure to "top" that…
I keep 10-20 pre-ground tungstens on the welding table, no need to get out and grind 😂
I keep 6, double sided. But i also try and go as long as possible without needing to sharpen them. If i go less than a full week between sharpens, i know ive been screwin up hard.
Tell us how to setup the A/V and frequency for aluminum WELDING PLEASE
Everything is explained in detail on the website 6061.com
I think I spend more time grinding tungsten than I do welding....
I should probably work on that.
80% of the time prepping the joint, 1% sharpening and 19% of the time welding.

Thanks you videos tutorial next brother 👌👍
Sir you do a great job.
You stuffed it that deep and didn't pull out. Baby tungsten expected early April.
Cool you did make it into the trailer. I wasn't sure till I saw the floor.
Aluminum welding is like walking a trail with Jumping Chollas.
All videos, no talking, no tuition (maybe a few text inserts) just watching you work I and others can learn. I cant tell the difference between filler and tungsten as they both disappear at the same rate
I design difficult to weld joints to challenge my skills. And I have done tungsten grinding outside even though I no longer use thoriated tungsten.
I allways make sure to have enough spare tips right next to my welding. To make sure I can finish the weld. Otherwise I would have walked a couple miles extra I guess😜
Thank you sir
So true 👍 good video, thanks
You’re like my welding dad.
Aw.
Love the Napoleon Dynamite “ YES “
Hallo. I want to ask something
Could we use DC Welding Machine for aluminium weld ?
can..with caveats..better off with the special rod for torch burner..or get yourself an ac/dc tig..or two
I sharpened my tungstens then threw the grinder away. Pressures on now
So if I move my grinder further than 1 meter away I'm going to increase my welding skills by 10%. Cool I'll do it.
Didn’t know you could use a gas lense like that with aluminum
how much tig welder making per hour? (on average) (pipe welding)
hobbies include noisy nights of aluminum fabrication and long walks to the bench grinder ....
thanks for the content sir
Entertaining and informative.
amps ? thanks
Best👍👍💖
I sure do get a lot of exercise 🤣
Mantap boos sukses
I just watched someone f*ck up a weld on purpose, or was it?......and it was fun to watch.
Wow👍
nice safety flip-flops :D
🇧🇷🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Kimat kitni hai
The walk of shame.
Nice welding
Awesome. I have the same napolean vid lol. 👍
Imagine skill
At the time of 1:23, you stuck it. Lol. I hate when I get too close with my tungsten. Dipping that shit sucks.
I tried welding with a camera between my legs once and it was truely awful, so I'd blame that for the little accident, it's just an awkward location for a camera, especially for someone with the kind of balls to show off their welds on the internet.
Good welding
Nice
🔥🔥🔥🔥
i sharpen both ends of the tungsten so i don't have to get up so often .....
👍
I quite grinding my tungsten, I already know I’m going to dip it anyway
Are you trying to say that dipping snuffs your tungsten?
God, have i been there
Ouuuuhhhh yeahhhhh baby!!!!
👍👍😎👍👍
I never dip my tungsten
