This is a design Sky and I did for James (PainfulPVP), we tried to match it to his current banner & intro, (we didn't make the background banner just the avatar) but I think it turned out pretty well :)

Yes, typically sky draws the design with pencil and Fin does the line work and shading on the computer after. Fin has said in the past that his strengths lie more in the graphic design aspect, and while he is a capable sketch artist, that is more of Sky's forte.
