    This reminds me of a friend a had maybe 25 years ago. He was a mechanic and had a lot of tools, but after an incident he got disabled and couldn't work on his cars anymore. I helped him with many repairs, he would be the eyes and I would be the hands. I have learned a lot from him and we always had a good time, he was a funny guy and often made me laugh. Unfortunetly he died and I lost a good friend. About 6 months after his death his wife phoned me and asked me to come over. I could take alle the tools from his workshop because that was what he wanted, she said. I still use a lot of his tools and I always think of him when I am tinkering with stuff.

      Honest wife. A salute to her.
      I live in India. My late dad visited his daughters on the west coast and brought back stuff like made in US tool bits, hammer, garden tools from Costco (Before the craze to get them made cheaply in Chaina)! Excellent quality.

    My joy at seeing a mid week video from Mustie1, was broken on hearing the sad news about Lilly. Comfort in knowing she had a long interesting and loving life, bless her. My viewing was made more poignant by thinking that these videos of barn finds/clearances often marks the ending of a chapter, like Lilly passing, where some of life's treasures, tools, vehicles move onto a new life. The tools and outboards have gone to a good home, and I'm sure will offer us interesting viewing. Thinking of you Mustie1

True fans share in the joy you share - the laugh you always have when a motor fires up the first time, or the incredible satisfaction of wrenching and fixing some old junk... And true fans also share in the sadness and loss. Our family has two Pembroke Welsh Corgis (Castle and Kelvin) and those two "boys" have enrichened our lives in so many ways. On behalf of Mustie1 fans everywhere - we grieve with you and your wife, yet we celebrate the joy that Lilly brought you and the Mustie1 family.

    • @bobbg9041
      @bobbg9041 Рік тому

      My first dog was a lab. He had never been fixed and I refuse to fix my current dogs King lived to age 17 the only reason he passed was my mom had set out decon to kill the mice, well king when I lived at home would chase the mice into a bag, id grab the bag close it up and take it outside to drop a brick on it.
      Well I got older and moved out couldn't take the dog with me but th at was ok mom loved the dog too and I could go visit anytime.
      Well he got ahold of a mouse that had eaten decon. The decon got into his system, vet couldn't do anything for him we had to let him go. It was really hard I grew up with that dog and loved him.
      Had he not gotten sick from the decon he would have lived longer.
      We feed him table scraps and caned dog foods back in the 70s it was horsemeat today dog food sold at the store is trash not fit for a dog not even the exp crap your better off feeding a raw diet or table scraps minus stuff dogs shouldn't eat. Never feed you dog chillie he/she will gas you out of the house. No joke made that mistake once and only once.
      That dog would eat anything but grapes wouldn't touch them.
      He even ate my German cholate cake, and a whole box of chocolate cover cherries that was still sealed up. He would have eaten the can and dog food he could get into anything. If he could reach it he ate it. And he never got fat.

    The old shop! I have grown used to the new one. But it's nice to be back in the old one as well. I look forward to little mini projects in it. Stuff like your slot cars and that train set you got plus whatever home fixings come up. I'm sure it'll be nice for you as well not having to drive all the way to the big shop for a basic tool once you get supplied at home again. Stupid 'rona and the maskholes really put a damper on people's livelihoods the past year.
