  • We hunted quite a few different public land spots these two days. We ended up with a few more in the bag not shown here, but extremely happy with the amount of birds we saw and shots (misses) we took! Had a blast visiting from Indiana.

    Wonderful dog work!!
This is not aimed at anyone in particular BUT I see far too many wounded and unfound birds on youtube....i dont think it is gun or shell but shot selection and hunter skill.....need to pass the long one by and practice on clays till that skill level is up....i have never hunded pheasants but see the same issue with ducks. Ppl sit cold in a duck blind for hours and then sky bust the first duck that comes within 80yds. I notice turkey hunters often have the patience for the shot as limit is one. Quail hunters have a much larger bag so they let hard shots go. Pheasants are magnificent and delicious birds and i hate that yotes get my dinner.
    Ok, done with my rant.

👋 We jumped around in SD. Mostly the eastern part of the state, but hunted SW Minnesota too
