What a talented family! Having transcribed on a few occasions myself, it is always a fascinating exercise as you negotiate the tension between being true to the original music and trying to find the best way it can be accommodated by a solo instrument such as a piano (or organ). You did an excellent job here, Cole, and I'm sure having your brother's approval and affirmation was a relief! Your performance of 'Melanie' is incredibly powerful and your consummate artistry ensures every nuance in the score from the haunting emptiness of the opening bars to those massive stretches of explosive sound is communicated with the greatest passion and conviction. B R A V O ! (And now I must find the film and see how much the music adds to the story, for visuals without music is like cake without the cream filling!)
