    That mechanical horn made a beautiful noise. Very nice setup with the strobes and how they trip in time like that!

    I really like this demo, it's very thorough and it really helped me understand the way these systems better. It would be cool if you had something like sprinklers hooked up to it. You did a great job NewAgeServerAlarm!

    Very cool. It's interesting how the general way the suppression system portion works has not changed since my Ansul 2000 was manufactured in 1987, and I'm sure before that still, in terms of how the NAC's are coded per stage and the detection methods, etc.

    I'm disappointed in the lack of fire suppression foam flooding your basement.

    • @GaryBeltz
      @GaryBeltz 9 років тому

      If this was to be a true suppressor system the foam would not discharge properly since the room the system is in has to be pressurized so even if he had some FM200, CO2, or other agent it would not have worked properly. My dad has a system at his job and is in charge of making sure it's tested properly etc. The room also has to have vents that control the release of pressure.

    Compared to the other alarms, the Federal Vibratone is LOUD! I always knew they were louder than many alarms , but I didn't expect it to be THAT much louder than the other alarms in this test.

      NJMoo3652 It actually has a glockenspiel key attached to a piece of square aluminum tubing with a hole in top to have a resonating amplification effect similar to the hole in an acoustic guitar.
      Glockenspiel is the correct name for a metal xylophone, as a xylophone normally only refers to wooden keys.
