Very awesome! I love how you have the panel/annunciator's piezo make different tones depending on what's happening. Also loved the live MS BSOD reference at 13:50!
i miss the first time i watched this video and wishing i had a collection and setup like you. now i’m finally getting there. anyway, i’m gonna close the light, bye
Ahhh, I remember the memories of that heat detector... 5:47 I'm just asking, but are you going to remove that soon? Really, I wonder how many years that thing was sitting there, but then again I remember the time I saw that...
Well, according to a Fire Alarm Buyer Guide by him, it draws a small amount of power when idle, and essentially shorts out when activated. Now, to keep it from frying, you can use a constant current diode to stop too many amps from going through the circuits at once. You can rig a relay in series with the smoke detector (beware of EMF!) that will activate when enough current flows through it and connect the zone/alarm.
My comment last night was short because I was tired, nice job I really love the new panel I t looks a lot of fun to mess around with! In the garage you should a simple announciator that just has a silence, reset button, nothing special. Great Job!
My high school has an extremely loud system. It has UMMT with strobes, Siemens panel, remote strobes and Wheelock remote and horn strobes. ALL HIGH VOLUME!!!! >_< very very loud.
Mine Are 4050's and they are set on continuous and they are so freaking loud >_< u can hear them while the school doors are closed while you are waiting for the all clear
pieter vanham mine was all UMMT high pitch set on continuous. I hated my school as they would never tell us about upcoming test, but we knew as on a drill day the teacher would say “get your coats on” 10 minutes before a test.
I was wondering once you find out about all the features of the i8005 FACP, I was wondering if you can make a PDF link of an owner's manual on your website, like Simplex and Fire-Lite and ADT/Honeywell/Ademco do.
What materials did you use to make the cabinet for the I8005? How did you make the cabinet? I am trying to get ideas on how to make my own alarm panel cabinet.
So are you using a BS2SX for the larger EEPROM or a regular BS@ with modified EEPROM. A hint in case your thinking of using an SX their clock speed is WAY different than most of parallax's chips.
I once did the same thing to my MT (except the making of grooves part). Till later on the MT broke all together some how, as with many of my "older" alarms (before 2013). The hell was the matter with me and alarms back then lol? Who knows. I was "younger" at that time. I now have another MT (the same one actually) and am taking better care of it. Still, LLLOOOUUUDDD!!!
I think you should put a pull station in the kitchen, since, if there's a fire, chances are that's where its going to be. Glad system test 30 is out though!
The panel is very nice. How do I build one. I have an old fashioned fuse box service panel that I no longer use because I upgraded to a breaker box. I already stripped out the inside of the panel by removing the old fuse components. I have the case how do I build a panel
I can’t believe it’s been over five years since this video dropped! So much nostalgia…
I use to watch videos like these when I was younger & youtube decided to recommend me this 6-years-later
Yy6 yuy
This was my favorite channel in 2010-2015
OCWIMGPRCWVRT
This channel was one of the only reasons that I know many fire alarm names. The good times
10 years since the long wait for this video still remember watching this when it first aired
Very awesome! I love how you have the panel/annunciator's piezo make different tones depending on what's happening.

13:50
When he talked about the pre-alarm, I immediately thought of his mom burning the food. twice.
LOL
*LOL*
And when you say that it reminds me of the smoke detector that couldn’t shut up
@@d0tbr3w the PisaCrap FamilyGuard one?
@@DanTDMJace yep
used to watch these a long while back, literally cannot beleive its been 10 years
I remember waiting for this video for so long and when it came out it was like so amazing.
Same, lol.
I was one of the first viewers of this video back in 2012. Nostalgia overload.
@@iRaven Same Here.
Very very well done NewAgeServerAlarm! Nearly 12 months of waiting has finally paid off! I congratulate you with my highest respect!
i miss the first time i watched this video and wishing i had a collection and setup like you. now i’m finally getting there. anyway, i’m gonna close the light, bye
I can see why it took so long, you put a lot of work into this system.
Ahhh, I remember the memories of that heat detector... 5:47 I'm just asking, but are you going to remove that soon? Really, I wonder how many years that thing was sitting there, but then again I remember the time I saw that...
Almost 10 years ago. WOW!
no siemens? and no horn? and is this the system as to how its gonna stay or you going to keep switching them?
Do you still have the coded pul station, if so, can you do a demonstration of the coded pull option with it?
HenBasket sure
OH! THE WINDOWS 98 BSOD ON TV!!!!! You referenced it! It took me some time to catch on to that.
I love the new system! Are all of the alarms the same in the setups now? For example All MTs in the system!

I like the sound that the Alertek i8005 piezo makes. It sounds like an 8-bit sound
Yeah
How much did it cost to make the i8005? Just wondering
Are you still youtubing
I think he left.
No..
My comment last night was short because I was tired, nice job I really love the new panel I t looks a lot of fun to mess around with! In the garage you should a simple announciator that just has a silence, reset button, nothing special. Great Job!
Why did you take down the Siemens Horn in living room and the vibratone in ur room
My high school has an extremely loud system. It has UMMT with strobes, Siemens panel, remote strobes and Wheelock remote and horn strobes. ALL HIGH VOLUME!!!! >_< very very loud.
*facepalm*
Mine Are 4050's and they are set on continuous and they are so freaking loud >_< u can hear them while the school doors are closed while you are waiting for the all clear
My school has the whole Gentex Commander series. The Ones arent loud, but the 2, 3, 4 arent either, but the special ed wing is set to loud.
pieter vanham mine was all UMMT high pitch set on continuous. I hated my school as they would never tell us about upcoming test, but we knew as on a drill day the teacher would say “get your coats on” 10 minutes before a test.
Even in 2012, that is a cool homemade panel. If you still have it, add a dialer
Outstanding job. Just a question. Can the code 3 tone do continuous by the panel?
No, sadly. It can't.
I was wondering once you find out about all the features of the i8005 FACP, I was wondering if you can make a PDF link of an owner's manual on your website, like Simplex and Fire-Lite and ADT/Honeywell/Ademco do.
I like the beeping for reset and so on. What are back EMF issues?
In other words he does not want the time to do it, common excuse " I don't have time"
What materials did you use to make the cabinet for the I8005? How did you make the cabinet? I am trying to get ideas on how to make my own alarm panel cabinet.
what microcontroller does this panel use? I know the 8005 used the parallax basic stamp, but I don't know about the i8005...
where do you get the flat wire mould?
where did you get a panel? i have 2 simplex 4903-9236s
The panel button push sound sounds like the hit detection sound in old Pong games.
DUDE nice system set up! Keep up the good work!
Do you have any SpectrAlert Advance P2R horns you could install for a system test?
So are you using a BS2SX for the larger EEPROM or a regular BS@ with modified EEPROM.
A hint in case your thinking of using an SX their clock speed is WAY different than most of parallax's chips.
The lazer light system is GENIOUS
HOLD ON. THIS IS 10 YEARS OLD?! I was expecting at least 7-8 years old, but 10?! Dang!!!
How do u wire a EST Heat detector
We are coming up on the 10 year anniversary of this video……wow
Do you have a battery back up for your system? If you do, you should do a power outage test.
Does this panel use a backup battery?
Does the I8005 work with mechanical horns or not
thank fricking god you released this .
and yes the windows 98 fail references.
Do you still have your Notifier panel
What ever happend to the 8005?
Did you move your Collection Downstairs
Can industrial smoke alarms make a sound or does it just sens a siginal to the panel?
System test 30 and Wii U launch?
Best weekend ever!
Why did you not use a 2903?
Is it possible to download all of those features including the coding options onto a non homemade panel? (simplex, firelite, silent knight, notifier)
nope.
Your the coolest officialnewageserveralarm!
It sounds like the talking crosswalk sign thing that you have press for the warning lights.
With the short beeps.
Dose your new panel have battery backup?
I once did the same thing to my MT (except the making of grooves part). Till later on the MT broke all together some how, as with many of my "older" alarms (before 2013).

Does this have a trouble for a cold start out of curiosity?
where do you get the fire alarms from?
How did you get the piezo to do the code 3 during the silent test? That is awesome.
*OMFG YOS, also the new panel is WAY better then the old one*
*edit: also pls make a vid of a tornado siren from p1 to p12 pls 🙂🙂*
He already said he isn't giving out plans for the panel, so you are going to have to buy a panel
Outstanding job on the new panel.
Did you paint the u-mmt?
What microconntroller did you use?
Just out of curiosity, where did you put the Alertek 8005?
Do you still have the smoke alarm anncuatiur at the basement stairs
Did you paint the ummt
You are a genius nice work and do you know when you will be doing fabg pt 4?
and the real system is like a system sincer spectoralert classic
WWWWWWOOOOOOWWWWWW
What kind of camera do you use?
did you make that panel yourself?
are you still doing system test with the new panel
Why do i hear a spectra alert advance or classic?
WOW! in the garage, that is the exact same pull station and alarm my school has.
When will you make system test 31?
Great system test! You got a lot of old LaserJets there! lol
Is there any chance you could do a tutorial on wiring up a 2 wire conventional detector? I couldn't find any information on the internet at all :/
how much does one i8005 cost?
does the i8005 have trouble with the bug
at 8:44 was that a mac charger on your ceiling?
Well, Im not going to say I was the first viewer, but congradulations having the i8005 in its first official system test!
Well you were the first viewer
It may be something that would be done in the future. But why would you want a manual to a product you don't have?
Is it hard to make your panels
Is this a different MT? I thought that they sounded like AS horns but here they sort of sound like mini-horns.
Goldenrod636 Different tone.
You should make a new panel! My suggestion would be to add date & time support.
What buzzer did you use for the panel.
passive
Wow that is so cool that you can just build panel's!!
What happened to the fire panel
The annunciator is small? Is it the 8005 leftoves? Or is it small because you took it out for the i8005
The annunciator I used was a whole new design made specifically for this.
Ok but it looks so odd
I wonder whatever happened to the 8005?
I think you should put a pull station in the kitchen, since, if there's a fire, chances are that's where its going to be. Glad system test 30 is out though!
on mini system test 23 the fm-200 horn was really loud and why was it on continuous
For your next test can you use true alerts on code3?
Thank you for telling me about the mr 7 arms now I have one too
0:14 That motion tracking tho
I do. It's a good idea. If there is a false alarm, it keeps the FD away.
The panel is very nice. How do I build one. I have an old fashioned fuse box service panel that I no longer use because I upgraded to a breaker box. I already stripped out the inside of the panel by removing the old fuse components. I have the case how do I build a panel
When is system test 31 coming out
How do you lock the aunnciator?
Your grandparent should of said "Open the light" (Electronics joke)
Is the MT horn strobe converted from horn strobe to remote horn a MT-24LSM
Yup
I love it newageserveralarm is the best fire alarm youtube chanel!!!!!!
Have you ever thought about having alarms with voice e-vac messages?
