Kevin looks like he's teaching simple, basic boxing strikes for self-defense boxing, a good idea. I've seen a book on self-defense boxing. It's way different than ring boxing. But as Kevin added, for those who have weak, unconditioned hands, palm-striking is their best bet. That's me. My fists are not hard and unconditioned to hitting. I also have weak wrists. I'm going to have to go at it with palm strikes, edge-of-hand strikes (karate or judo chop), and hammer fist blows along with low kicks to the shin. About two years or so ago I watched on YT a self-defense instructor teaching personal self-defense using only three hand strikes, the palm, edge-of-hand, and hammer fist. His belief was that few people are properly trained to deliver, correct, strong punches besides boxers. You stood the risk of breaking knuckles and wrists.
Give this guy a knighthood for protecting services to the general public! In a crazy world which we can NO LONGER rely on the police to defend ourselves Kevin is our only hope!

I was taught the best form of self defense is not to get in a fight.
Just hit the weights and get big enough so nobody wants to fight you.
You have much to learn.
These methods are for ring fight or for street fight??????
They are valid in both situations.
