When the younger generation feels more powerful, economically stronger, and intellectually superior to their parents, they cast off restraint, and mockery begins.
This generation will only change if we get the Living Word into their lives. We must fill the city with the Word and determine that we will be like the people of Israel; when they were cast out of Jerusalem, they gossiped about the Word everywhere they went.
It's the words of God that give people life and hope. It's the words of God that penetrate the hearts and souls of man, and it's the words of God that are a sharp double-edged sword -- not our words. The power is in the words of a living God.
