Watch the Same Bull Moose Fight Three Times
Welcome to a very special Team MooseMan post. This video is about bull moose fights. To I’d like to set the stage first.
Here in New England in all my years of moose studies, I never have observed, never mind filmed a moose fight.
When we arrived in Alaska we had hopes that would change. But a local expert told us not to get our hopes up too much. He had never seen one in all his years. He never managed that “right place right time” thing.
It’s no secret Left Hook is my favorite bull. From the first time I saw him in 2019 and right up until the present, he’s just done something to my imagination that puts him at the top (just barely) of my list!
We were thrilled when we filmed LH fighting Swagger in 2019, and we were over the moon excited when we filmed 22 vs LH in 2021 just before the big snow storm hit. Then last year I went on a solo mission one day and filmed him in yet another fight. To top it off I heard but did not see him fight two other bulls that day.
It’s off the charts, I am humbled to have done this. I am privileged to have filmed these fights, and then to know that he fought three times in the same place is just crazy. Enjoy.

There all handsome. Some, as you probably know, are serious. Some it's old Bull giving lessons to young Bull the old ones know what it's like to be young. When the young one is old enough to win the old ones that taught them will probably be gone or just will be gone.
And some grow up to challenge them later on!

We are 6 parts stubborn persistent and 4 parts lucky Tricia! We never call a bull in so all these fights happen organically, we don't instigate things like some other uh...so called photographers...do. We feel it's unethical, we don't want to alter their behavior. They have it hard enough as it is! And yes, the fights are always fast and furious. But without animosity, simply about becoming the victor. And not all bulls who win necessarily get the cow! The cow chooses, after all. So cool isn't it? 🥰🤗🤔🤭
