Just stumbled upon this gem. I'm not a huge Pixie fan, but I like some of their music. Nirvana definitely got a lot of their style from the Pixies, no doubt! I don't remember Kim doing anything this soft and beautiful; her voice is so lovely here. I hope she makes more songs like this, I know now it's about her mother's struggle with Alzheimer's, but if you listen, it seems like it could encompass other mental frailties that we as humans can suffer or succumb to. Yes he made poor choices, yes he was a dopehead, but he also left an enormous legacy as an multi diciplinair artist. He was so much more than his media personality, he was a pure honoust artist who made a lot of stupid decisions throughout his life but still created so much great art!
