I can't lie, season 12 of RuPaul's was kind of ruined for me because of Sherry Pie. Which sucks, because otherwise, it could've been one of their best.
The award wasn't about how great the queens are; it was for the production company to celebrate their casting process and results. This is absolutely NOT the first time that they failed to pick up on possibly illegal or could be seen at immoral. See: Down Under Season 1. They had one queen who appropriated several cultures, including wearing blackface more that once; another who had a tattoo of a racist image. Yeah, that's a great casting process, Ru.
In an updated list, you can include Darnell Ferguson being kicked off tournament of champions (as well as Food Network as a whole) due to his arrest for domestic violence. This past season of TOC tried really hard to edit him out; the only time he was really shown was when he was actually competing, but he got defeated in the first round. Had he gotten further in the tournament, they probably wouldn’t have been able to air the season at all.
Wasn't there a contestant on American Idol's eighth season who was disqualified after she had a major record contract before competing on the show? And then apparently it came out that she still had major industry connections that helped her land the show? I think something like that happened.
ANTM - reminiscent of 1985 Miss America Vanessa Williams being stripped of her title because of an OLD-ASS magazine shoot. That’s BS. If she won, she won. End of story.
Contestants sign a contract and, according to that contracy, they are supposed to disclose all previous discretions. If they hide any, and get caught, they violated the terms of the contract.
So...Willam acted out because the crew weren't taking proper care of the queens, and Sherry Pie committed actual crimes. You SERIOUSLY believe they both belong on the same list?
We will never truly know what did Willam do. There have been many, many stories about her elimination; she might have effed a producer, might have been running her escort service from a laptop (two violations, including prostitution), might have been caught as a ringleader talking girls shopping or clubbing at night (depending who is telling the story), she might have already landed a role in a musical (I think, but it was a big booking) and knew going in she was going to have to leave early, she might have gotten into a physical fight with Jeremi (neè Phi Phi). There are even more stories...
I'm surprised there were no BBUS mentions, because you had Justin getting ejected after a drunken night where he held a knife to Krista's throat, Chima getting expelled after destroying BB property, Willie head butting Joe, and most recently, Luke getting ejected for saying the N word on live feeds, violating the show's zero tolerance policy
I mean narratively makes sense since it gave her sort of underdog story a nice ending. Talent wise idk because it’s been a couple of years since I saw that season.
100% believe it! Yes I’m sad Allison was runner up for a second time and do I think she should have won all stars… yeah I could see it and would be happy, but Angelea was still worthy of winning. Lisa yes has talent and can model… but I’d rather Angelea win or Allison
Allison ddn't know how to walk. Let's be *REAL.* Angelea won 6/6 go sees, while Allison didn't get close to that. Angelea had a great storyline, she came from the hood to bring 716, while Allison just had to make weird eye contact and be white in order to be a fan favorite.
Kind of surprised that Big Brother wasn't anywhere on this list. They've had quite a few contestants kicked off. One of which was from the current season.
We had a contestant thrown off Big Brother in Denmark after he talked openly about "being in a relationship" with a child in his younger days, and how he had thrown his baby daughter into the wall because she wouldn't stop crying.
Wow..pervs and creeps are in every country..I wanted to comment because I love your screen name. I have a son who will turn 50 in January but he lives in Colorado and I live in Florida kind of a distance. But I do have six cats and I had to laugh when I saw your screen name. That’s good. Have a good and peaceful weekend. Meow.
@@jpmackey1607 Even worse. It was a big brother for already famous people. Meet Moses Hansen - a Danish priest who for some reason had become famous and got into Big Brother VIP and got asked to leave early for the reasons I listed. I just looked at his wikipedia that listed this whole thing. He said he was 16 and in a relationship with an 8 year old boy. And then of course the whole throwing his baby daughter into the wall. Oh, and he also threw a knife at his wife in those confessions. I completely forgot about that part. The guy is a creep.
On the first season of Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, contestant Jasmine Morrison got kicked off in the middle of the season because of her bad attitude. There was also an episode of Road Rules I remember from the late 90s(?) where a woman got kicked off for beating up one of her costars (after he called her a bitch).
The UK version had it's first Big Brother disqualification in the entire franchise history, Nick Bateman (from season 1, 2000) was caught by fellow housemate after discovered that he smuggled paper and writing material into the house and used it to infiltrate nominations.
Yeah including this current season when a contestant said the n-word during week 1. Also to add to the Hantz family, Brandon Hantz might as well have been disqualified in Survivor when his tribe forfeited a challenge before it started after he threw a massive tantrum at camp, which included dumping the rice.
The UK version had false accusations of physical assault in 2018. Roxanne Pallet had accused Ryan Thomas of physical assault but it was all fake. She left and Ryan ended up winning.
I remember on Face Off a contestant won immunity, then were put into teams of two he "dropped" the cast/mold. Everyone called him out, but I don't know if the judges did anything.
Those Top Chef guys were lucky they didn't get charged with assault. If someone doesn't want to do something and your response is to manhandle them and force them to do it, I'd hate to see what your sex life is like.
Season 12 of Drag Race has to be one of the best seasons. It’s a shame that Sherry Pie ruined it. I wish they would of invited Jackie Cox back for the finale because that’s just so unfair she could of took Sherry’s spot!
I normally don't watch reality t.v., but for #5, for that person who had been stripped by the judges for a having an escort job that she had already told them about prior to the show and the producers telling her it was fine, definitely smacks of hypocrisy. I sincerely hope she won her lawsuit.
@@gerardgarcia8501 I think the production would do everything they can to make sherry the winner, if it did not come out with the scandal. They did the same thing with Aquaria, people that were there said that in the lip-sync against Eureka, Aquaria fell several times but they did not show it and made it a tie -_-
@@sebastiandahllof7126 At least it seemed like Aquaria COULD lip-sync and deliver a solid performance, which I'd argue she did with the final song. I'm not even sure what kinds of songs Shark-Sandwich Pie could win a lip-sync to. They already had her lip-sync on her premiere episode, and Jaida absolutely decimated her to that Robyn song. If they were confident she could win the final lip-sync, they wouldn't have saved her from lip-syncing on challenges she was clearly one of the worst in. That stand-up challenge especially, where she went on for three times over the allotted five-minute time limit, I think they knew that she'd be demolished in a lip-sync against Jaida (again) or Heidi, so they saved her.
@@heymistercarter. I guess the lipsync song would be something campy to which SP could play their old lady shtick done like 5 times on the show. Honestly, we only saw 1 SP lipsync to a song that was clearly Jaida-friendly, it wasn't completely impossible to win with a completely different one. I agree about saving her all the time though, but that was sort of a thing not to put frontrunners in lipsyncs, and it's not like SP was the only one (Aquaria, Gottmik anyone?).

Agreed
Yeah and for me at least it felt unfair for the other queens who got eliminated before she got kicked off the show
It will eternally confuse and disappoint me that Drag Race won the Emmy for "Best Casting" for the exact season Sherry Pie ruined.
I mean OTHER than her it had some solid queens.
I don't believe that Sherry's actions should affect the other queen's hard work on the show. That season had an AMAZING cast.

You would think VH1 would have learned their lesson after "Megan wants a milliona"
Nothing beats Willam's lipstick farewell message 😂.

Carly Smithson. She wasn't disqualified but had had a record deal that collapsed before her career could happen.
I never heard of that before.
