Alicent knows she messed up and instead of fessing up to it she doubles down and says it is still no mistake. Wth! Rhaenyra tried but at the end of that convo I think she accepted the reality of it all and knows that she is going to have to prepare for war. What y'all think about Daemon facing his demons? I can't wait to see more of this, I'm assuming, witch at Harrenhall.
1.Alicent didn't mess up. She was working with the information she had. There were only 3 Aegons at this point. Viserys never spoke to Alicent about the SOIAF so she wouldn't get the reference and know that he was talking about Aegon I aka Aegon the Conqueror (who has been dead for a VERY long time) and not their son, Aegon II. Additionally, the ITE for that episode explains that Viserys thought he was talking to Rhaenrya who WOULD have gotten the reference. It's not that Alicent doesn't want to own anything it's as she says it's too late. The people think Rhaenyra had Jahaerys killed. They think she ordered a little boy killed in his bed and his head hacked off with a knife. They spat her name out like a curse in the funeral procession. The Seven Kingdoms heard of it. Also she has no power to stop it. With Otto there, the two of them could reign in Aegon but with Otto gone and Cole as Hand, there's nothing she can do. 2. Those eggs are the ones Daemon found in Season 1. In the books, those ARE NOT the eggs Dany got. I think they just changed it for the show. 3. The new Kingsguard don't just not respect Cole, they really don't respect anything much. They are Aegon's yes-men. 4. I think I know who the "witch" is but I don't want to spoil you. Let me know if you want me to.
Also, in the post episode interview by the show runner, he said this about alicent and rhaenyra: “It’s not that Alicent is unwilling to hear Rhaenyra, it’s that she has no power, there’s nothing she can do anymore to stop what’s coming.” The men are all off to war, there’s nothing alicent can do at this point to reel them back in.
Herrenhall is most likely curse due to herren the black using weirwood trees to build his castle. And remember the weirwood trees are the connection to the old gods, and the old gods are what people in north pray to like the Starks. And that tree that Daemon was in front of was a weirwood tree, you can tell by it's reddish leafs. And I just love how they(the showrunners) just keep dropping cameos for the Blackwoods in this show. They did it in season 1 and then again showing it here for the battle of the burning mill, also that battle is very important because it move this war from ravens to actual battles. The Blackwoods are a interesting cool house with such a rich history in westeros.
Without Daemon making the move to take Harranhall on basically his only decision, Cole would’ve taken it and the Greens would have controlled the river lands.
I think we are forgetting rhaenyra knew who daemon was when she needed a man feared to marry. Daemon has did everything for her, in what world should a crime so heinous go unanswered, lucerys terrorized before being murdered. The retaliation was necessary
Hey Allona "Happy Wednesday". I hope your day has been good. This was a good episode. You can see the role of Hand is affecting the relationship of Alicent and Criston Cole. As they, along with everyone in Green's, come up with a plan to take out the Black's. Where Alicent wants to do things in a peaceful way where Aegon and others want war. You can see the insecurity in Aegon as he's trying to prove to himself that he's not a weak king but a fraud as he wants to go into battle. As you can see, Larys Strong again in his ear, causing more problems from within the Greens. The BJ scene in the brothel caught me off guard. I was surprised that Aemond didn't punch him. You can see from the Blacks that the council doesn't have faith in Rhaenyra. I like that Rhaenys sees the bigger picture trying to get Rhaenyra that talking with Alicent would probably be the best way to end the war as well avoid bloodshed. You see Rhaenyra have her kids removed to because they're not safe and to avoid another assassination attempt. Daemon goes to Harrenhal to get an army as only for the castle to be in the worst of shape. Daemon hallucinate as the death of Jaehaery gets to him as we get a cameo of young Rhaenyra. As we seeing Daemon expresses regret as his past is coming back in, not a good way. Rhaenyra finally meets Alicent as she tells her that the Aegon that her father is talking about is Aegon the Conquor. Even tho both want peace. Alicent realized it out of her hands. Rhaenyra realized that she had no choice but to go to war. But anyway I hope you have a wonderful day. Stay safe, take care, and stay amazing.
Alicent wasn’t immediately responsive to what rhaenyra told her, but i honestly think she’s going to see the light before the season is over. Rhaenyra has opened her eyes now, and ultimately alicent won’t be able to ignore that, even if she tries.
16:10 Ugh! This again?🙄 No. 😑 Helaena did *NOT* think that Cole was supposed to protect them *DURING HIS REST HOURS SHIFT.* I mean, she's disconnected from reality, but not by *_that much,_* come on! 😂 Arryk is the one who was supposed to protect them at that time. Arryk is the one who failed. Please do try to keep up. 😆 She's forgiving her for *STARTING THE CIVIL WAR* that killed her son and many others.
alicent she did not fuc up but her husband did and his whole reapeating name tradition did. alicent follow thru her husband wishes to the end because is how it can only be interpreted aside for those who know the secret story of aegon the conqueror. who if i was in alicent shoes would not belive until i hear or read the story myself the Targaryen are not very smart but they do have dragons but they are not fit for a crown of a nation maybe mix blood far from targaryan traditions might have a good fit to the crown but not a targaryen born with the family traditions. what is done is done the late king started the war without knowing alicent already lose all power the moment she reapeated her husband last words correct to say it but holding up your husband king last words can kill you. and her daugther forgave her mother because she marred her brother instead of someone else. im not green much less black but choosing sides is a downfall for 3rd partys that is how i see as a 3rd party with no sides emotions and power are the downfall of kings and queen as well kingdoms

tension keeps building up
I wanna see Dragons fight
Halaena forgiving Alicent over her dumb AEGON confusion 😂
No she was forgiving her for getting her cheeks clapped by Criston which pulled him away from guarding the kids.
@@trini_staple u dont know how she works
I have to agree... If she was wedded to Jace her life would be much better.
This is why you don't give everybody the same name lol
Without Daemon making the move to take Harranhall on basically his only decision, Cole would’ve taken it and the Greens would have controlled the river lands.
I'm glad Daemon is there. I hate Cole

Great stuff Allona, can’t wait for the next one. 🫶🏽
