The concluding voluntary at Solemn Mass (Traditional Latin Mass) at St Patrick's Cathedral Melbourne, Wednesday 19 June 2024. The 'Toccata' from Suite Gothique Op. 25 by Léon Boëllmann is played by Fr Nicholas Dillon.
After 13 years of the traditional Latin Mass being offered in the Cathedral on Wednesday evenings, this was the 'final' Mass by decree of the Vatican's Dicastery for Divine Worship.
At least 850 people attended the Mass on 19 June 2024.

Father, I visited Newman parish as well as St Patrick's Cathedral for mass in 2022 while visiting friends there and I even had dinner with some parishoners after Wednesday evening's mass! This community is very dear to me and I will be keeping everyone in my prayers. Ad maiorem Dei gloriam!

Yes, the Newman Parish is a great hope for Melbourne's Catholics, and their music at Caulfield is also great i.e. almost as good as Fr. Dillon's at Blackburn.
