I mean yes, Manson makes more money if he smashes more of their guitars, but still all of his guitars are hand crafted and someone had to spent months of his life building it. Also each and every hand made guitar is unique in its own way... So if I would build Matt's guitars and he would dare to destroy one, I would refuse to sell him another one. I know that this would be financially insane, but it's kind of a personal principle I think.

He's just kind of making the show a bit more intimate and making the band more punk rock. I think a lot of these are the same guitars, all need would be a new set of strings some glue and maybe a new tuner here and there, all things largely in stock backstage.

Actually, the guitars he would destroy in the early days were cheap Ibanez guitars mostly. Matt's Manson guitars are each individually made and assembled by hand and sell for around $4000 to $6000 each depending on the model. The first guitar in this video is the most expensive model with the built in kaoss pad (kaoss pad kit alone costs $1000). All the guitars in this video are no where near as cheap as you think.
