- Author Douglas Murray has called out an “uninformed” news anchor after she made claims about the Israel-Gaza war.
During a recent visit to South Africa, Mr Murray spoke with Eyewitness News anchor Jane Dutton to challenge accusations of Israeli genocide in Gaza and South Africa’s case against Israel at the International Criminal Court.
When Mr Murray asked for clarification on who supposedly occupies Gaza, Ms Dutton responded by stating it was Israel, aided by the US, who had sealed off the border.
Mr Murray then countered that Gaza also borders Egypt, which she failed to mention.
Speaking to Sky News Australia, the author called out the journalist as being emblematic of a type of person in the West.
“These are people who, to borrow a phrase, always mix up the firefighter and the fire,” he told Sky News Australia.
If it was an "interview", why not let him answer... instead of just shouting out "facts".
She made this into a debate she didn't want
