  • ABEC11 recently introduced the 107 mm SuperFly Wheels for use with Electric Skateboards. Although Abec11 had an earlier version of this 107 mm wheel for many years, they recently updated the design to have the same inside bearing to urethane spacing as their popular "Flywheel" Series (e.g., 97 mm, 90 mm, 83 mm). This design change makes the 107 mm SuperFly Wheels compatible with electric skateboards that are designed for use with regular "Flywheels".
    These new wheels are not only larger in diameter, but also wider with a 64 mm width and 55 mm contact patch vs the regular "Flywheels" which ave a 52 mm width and 44 mm contact patch.
    The SuperFlys also come standard with ABEC11's premium 74A Reflex Formula. The Reflex formula can't be beat in terms of durability, rebound, and traction.
    The SuperFlys will give you the most cush ride on an electric longboard and will seriously take the edge off of road vibrations and less than perfect streets.

    He is using frequency to get the right tension - that is quality control on another level.

      Metroboard Electric Skateboard I like how you are thinking. Just have a tight budget as a teacher. But I still consider getting this board. From all my research it looks like your are on top even above boasted board an evolve.

    Nice big wheels. I liked the fact you didn’t cut the video at wich you put the wheel on first and then could not mount the belt by putting it over the wheel. I really want to order such board but i live in Europe and have no experience with overseas ordering and shipping.

    Any chance you guys will be doing an AT wheeled board? Will there be a simple kit to use them on the 41" stealth single or is this going to be a whole new design (I know you probably can't say but I am wondering how much I should wait around or just buy the 41" stealth)

    No spacers between barrings?

    • @MetroboardElectricSkateboard
      @MetroboardElectricSkateboard  6 років тому +3

      Bufferzz Mr. You can install them but we have often found them to be a source of noise because with road vibration the axle nuts tend to loosen and then the bearing spacers start rattling. Yes you can retighten but it just becomes a maintenance issue.. honestly we have seen very little value in using bearing spacers

      the wheel will crack if you don't use bearing spacer. thats a shame telling people its ok to not use spacer. so they come to you to buy new wheel every often. Always use the spacer there is reason its made so the bearing won't try to come out of the wheel. there is zero noise first of all..

      @MetroboardElectricSkateboard  6 років тому +2

      what you wrote is simply not true...the only advantage of the bearing spacer, is that it allows you to crank down on the axle nut till it comes to a hard stop without risk of overtightening the bearings. But we have found that with use the axle nuts always loosen a bit, and then the bearing spacer starts rattling and making noise.

    Do the ABEC11 107mm fit on the Riptide R1 board?

    Would these also work well on the micro slim? 🤔

    • @MetroboardElectricSkateboard
      @MetroboardElectricSkateboard  6 років тому +1

      Eddie K not ideal because they will make the board about 11 mm higher (5 mm from the wheels + additional 6 mm riser to avoid wheel bite). Note on our 41" longboard and 33" Mini Slim the extra riser is not needed because of the deck profile

      Got it, thanks for the fast response! Excited to see what you all will come out with next. I've been following you guys for some time now. Heavily considering a Metroboard in the nearby future.
