What temps you running your iron at when connecting the initial leads? I've been having issues melting the enamel/insulation on my jumper leads, I'm not quite sure if maybe I got some dodgy wire batch or maybe I'm too conservative on the iron temps.
@@hddrecoveryservicesAah. Bumped it up to 360-365 and its getting it done significantly better. Still not great and the fumes from the enamel smell way worse than the rolls I had before of the same type and brand, so it's possible _both_ things going on; too conservative on temps, _and_ dodgy wire. I'm onto Hakko, T15 (euro T12). Using both Hakko station and and a KSGER unit. The Hakko is single port and those irons/handles are fiddly to change cartridges on bc of the grip-sleeve, so honestly I mostly use the KSGER these days. Just provides far more creature comforts, and only that one lets me store calibrated temp curves for multiple individual tips. I'd like to trade up for JBC eventually, but gotta get more paid work to afford and justify that expense.
I would really love to start doing this. I have great soldering skills(20+ yrs), unfortunately not the money lol. Since I can't afford PC3000, according to you what would be another great alternative? Thank you for any ideas or help!
This job averages 500-1000 for most shops in North America. Let's say pc3K is roughly 6K. It would be paid off in 10 gigs or so. You need to find out how to get ppl to pay for the job, and the money will come
Excellent job as usual!!!
Thanks Dan!
Enjoyed, Thanks for sharing...Glad I found your channel.

But since you asked for an alternative VNR is good one too. But PC3000 is Porsche of data recovery and just like Porsche there is no substitute;)
