His vocals (not really music) is similar to Cedric Bixler-Zavala of the mars Volta i.e. The Widow. He does that same vibrato in the throat(?) idk what it’s called but it’s awesome.
We had a radio interview with SOAD lined up on the phone after harassing them for 3 years lol. They had to cancel but sent this CD from serjical strike records. It was Fair to Midland. My hero Serj Tankien PERSONALLY recommended them to us. Blew our fucking minds.
I like the when darroh held the last "this won't take long" and they just SMASH into the instrumental chorus. Reminds me of one of the early demos they released of the song, which you can find on UA-cam. Going and listening to those demos is like listening to whole new songs, which is a good thing ever since the band.... well, you know.... :(
+Erin Ortiz search "fair to midland demos" into UA-cam, they've got dozens of demos of old songs and a few never released. Listening to them Is like listening to whole new tracks with entirely different feelz. "God help us" is a terrific one
From what I've seen the singer has shown great variety with his voice although hitting the notes live provides him a challenge. I especially loved his death metal growl in Dance of the Manatee and even in live he seems to get that part perfectly. Great band and hopefully they get to play here in Finland some day.
I think I’ve seen you on nearly every Fair to Midland video on here. Nice to see faithful fans after so long. I’ve listened to them for years, and they’re still my favorite band of all time. I wish I would’ve been able to see them live.
***** Dont you atleast agree the albums have alot of extra layers and great harmonies that kind of goes to waste live? Dont get me wrong though, I'd pay good money to see them live
***** I see, and I believe you. I guess I'll just have to see them live, didnt get the chance so its a bummer though ;). The records will have to do until they get back together:]
+gruu Mr. Thump is correct. Seeing them live, nothing is missing and it was an amazing show to get to see. I feel very lucky to have discovered them before they stopped touring as even though it was smaller than many shows I've seen in my time, it is a top 5 performance for me. (Out of over 500 shows).
OMG I can't even function and my life is complete now. The emotion conveyed...this band is nothing short of perfection. God.I.love.them. My soul aches listening to them.
every time time i watch this performance it is so emotionally draining I have to die. EVERY TIME!!!! This bands music and this mans lyrics will be what carries my soul away when do.
I was there at this show. The pit turned into a dust bowl.
Good times
I feel so lucky that I saw them live. This was a real band of real musicians. They never got the respect they deserved for how innovative they were.
Me too
Listening in 2021.... Comment section is a ghost town. I hope everyone is doing well and is still rocking the fuck on.
Just you and me brother!
That young man playing guitar is cliff Campbell I've known him since he was a little kid, wow what a surprise way to go cliff. Big bird would be proud
I'm still here! Still remember getting Arrows and Anchors for Christmas years ago
Still rocking in 2024 brother
Another 2024 listener chiming in. I only discovered FtM this year and I don't go a day without listening to them.
For someone who never got to seem them live, I'm thankful AF there's live shots I can still watch.
yess omg
So sad they're not around anymore, I was pretty young when they were gaining traction, so I only learned of them 5 years ago or so.
Same, bro
Dude, yes. I was literally just thinking this!
we out here, they are soooo underrated
This was a great band
Yes they were. So great to see live
Still are a great (ex)band.
I'll never see a better band in my lifetime.
2024 anyone?❤
The greatest band to EVER do it
He's got such a unique style of singing!!!!!
His vocals (not really music) is similar to Cedric Bixler-Zavala of the mars Volta i.e. The Widow. He does that same vibrato in the throat(?) idk what it’s called but it’s awesome.

This band... I am from Luxembourg in Europe and I just absolutely love Fair to Midland! Just fulfills my musical desires.
WOW he could sing live
the singer is lookin mighty good in that thumbnail... wherefore art thou Darroh
I feel like I’m always discovering old bands in a new light and I only have the back catalogue to enjoy.
I miss this band

If FTM ever tours within 200 miles near you..go...you won't regret it...Darroh and I shared a beer during musical chairs...
It hurts so much that I will never get to see them :(

Dayyyuuummm that's cool
his voice is always awesome
Video is so good. Thanks for being a real videographer. We need more of this kind of stuff on youtube.
how they dont have 10trillion views boggles the eff outta me
Despite there being a couple of phrases left out, this was an amazing performance. I got goose-bumps just watching it.
Still one of the best performances from a band I've seen when I saw them at White Rabbit.
3:18 - 3:23 is both angelic and haunting.
Why is this so fucking good
wow great stuff, his voice is awesome in this!
That ending!
Genius
do you have more from this show?? This is probably the best live footage I have seen of them.
Thanks for Posting it.
3:52 looks like either Darroh didn’t get the memo that they were playing the outro, or everyone else didn’t get it lol
I think I’ve seen you on nearly every Fair to Midland video on here. Nice to see faithful fans after so long. I’ve listened to them for years, and they’re still my favorite band of all time. I wish I would’ve been able to see them live.
@@Ruudes1483 yeah, it’d be so amazing if they didn’t break up
goosebumps
So very metal...
that perfomance was awesome! he accidentally unplugged his mic right at 2:52, handled it well.
why did they break up 😭😭😭😢😢😢
BECAUSE SERJ IS A GIANT TOOL!!!! ...and they drank too much
Fair to Sweden
inter.funda.stifle! Wait, Fables from a Mayfly! I don't even know anymore....I do know I LOVE THIS FREAKIN' SONG!
@Master898 Fair to Finland!
what happened at 3:53-4:12 ? It sounds like the last "Under the Acrylic Skies" was cut out...
@biotoxin21 have you tried covering one of their songs while jumping around like that??? NOT easy.....
RIP FTM
FTM FTW!!!!!
MOAR SAUCE!!!
Is the singer in another band or something???
3:35
Although they really deliver live, to really capture the feel of the albums I'd add one more guitar player and a backup singer for harmonies
*****
