But if someone’s package is 2,15,00,000
After paying 40% tax to ITO , he will be left with approx. 1,29,00000
Now considering PPP of India vs USA
( 17:1 which is PPP of India vs USA)
1,29,00,000/17 = left with appx. 8,00,000
Now suppose someone is earning 13,00,000 in Delhi , After paying 30% to ITO, left with approx 11,00,000.
Now 11lac > 8lac
It doesn't matter how much one earns. But surely the person is great at skills …

well I have a friend who has graduated from IIT Kharagpur and if you want I will share the screenshot of the compensation structure ( from the official website of the institute) and I’m talking about one of the big tech companies
the fixed salary was $106,000, stocks worth $15,000 are given over 4 year period. Joining bonus is given only once, and performance bonus are not even guaranteed. You have to pay 30-35% tax on this income, so this leaves you with $75,000 (Rs 50L) and now we know that Rs 50L is USA is roughly equivalent to Rs 15L in India. The picture doesn’t seem that rosy anymore.
Same is the case with Uber, which gave a CTC of a whopping Rs 1.2Cr
I have a lot of friends and relatives who live in the US and $100,000 packages are VERY COMMON in Silicon Valley, and it is the average pay for a software engineer over there in these companies (fresh out of college).
You would need around Rs 520,000 ($8,000) in San Francisco to maintain the same standard of life that you can have with Rs 90,000 in Bangalore (assuming you rent in both cities). The numbers could be little here and there, but you get the general picture.
So, taking all this into account, those 80L or 1Cr salaries are more equivalent to 20-25L salaries in India..
I am happy for you and you’ve surely set an example for others to follow but people should know the ground reality

The average salary is 100k+ in the Bay Area and it’s higher in the other states as well

And abhi only 3 month hai but bahot regrate ho raha hai mai kuch nahi kar paaunga mujhe ek acha collage bhi nahi mil paayega i am felling very sad..... what is your main domian as a software developer? I have done BBA in 2015-18 after that i was preparing for govt exams , but couldn"t crack , so i decided to switch into IT .
