It's not a secret how much I love Nina Simone. She was such a brave woman, who destroyed the concept of fairy tales and still she holds our hands through a heartbreaking moment. Every song she sang you could see her soul in it. You could feel it. She sang about love but she sang about fighting for her rights. There's no one better than Nina Simone in this world. I'm gonna lay here and cry my heart out while listening to this beautiful song. Nina's version of this song is full of soul and truth. Love her. Forever.

Nina could communicate the heart of each song she interpreted as very few performers can or could. People mention Billie's version, however Nina's is by far the best! And it's not a matter of the other versions of this song being with different voices and styles, the point is being able to communicate the lyrics effectively. And that, only Nina accomplished!
