  • Long distance pumping or the capacity to move with a skate or longboard over long flat distances without pushing with the feet on the ground is a great exercise. Propelling yourself with turns requires constant body motion and coordination, so I use it to keep in good shape and at the same time having fun doing it.

    You can pump up a long gentle hill and not lose speed. Uphill without pushing! As long as you approach it with enough starting energy, you can maintain that energy by pumping. Im floating up a hill and people are like "nice e-board" and then I ghost flip it into the curb and they... wait, what? How is he going uphill? More people need to learn physics...

    Pumping gets more speed from speed, so u need higher speed to gain additional energy. Higher speed - less energy u need to get additional speed.

    there are many options, typically you want to make your own set up after reading some webs, there are good options like the Pulse board from Subsonic that you may want to try. There is good info in this web pavedwave

    Fernando, buen video, hace un par de semanas que practico longboard, tengo 34 y recien arranco.. jeje... no logro encontrar el movimiento para hacer que el long avance haciendo pumping... algún consejo o web que recomiendes como guía así arranco a practicar. Gracias

      Es instintivo, sale solo, yo aprendí por mi cuenta, en poco tiempo sale solo, no tiene ningún misterio, no hace falta un monitor ni estudiar, nada de nada.
