To answer your question, I don’t think this should’ve been a single because I don’t think a majority of her listeners will appreciate this type of music. They are so accustomed to the pop Christina. Us (music lovers) appreciate every chord, every run, the adlibs, harmony, etc. We have more keen ears for this type of soul!

I don’t think she ever performed this one live. Unless she performed it on the Stripped tour and I don’t remember. She worked with Questlove on this song. It’s one of her best songs! Two songs I would suggest that are similar to this is Sex For Breakfast and Without You. I mean they are not carbon copies, but they have similar laid back vibes and are love songs too with an RnB flair. Great reaction ❤️

LOL same!!! This is my favourite Christina song, hands down. I can't listen to it without the interlude first either, it sets it up so nicely. She was dating her ex-husband Jordan Bratman at the time. I wanna suggest maybe something off her Liberation album but I haven't listened to it in a minute so I'm drawing a blank.

Listen to Make Over from the same album. It is a rips a lot off from The Sugababes first single Overload. She ended up having to pay them....Sugababes were more influential than you know. Even prime Xtina was copying them!!!
