Thanks again from Japan 有難う。On Feb.19, 2021, Akatsuki became a very special song for BABYMETAL fans again. This song had not been performed for 2 years and 4 months, but they revived it that day. I witnessed this performance at Budokan. After an exciting battle choreo by the muscle sisters and a subsequent totally silent interval, Su-Metal showed up like a goddess standing solely in the center of foggy lake. It was ethereal beauty. Honestly I can not remember clearly what I saw and what I heard because it was too surprising and too mesmerizing. (Even after I viewed Blu-ray videos released thereafter) There is one certain thing, however. I felt exquisite bliss there, especially with Su's matured rich voice.
Great reaction - and Happy Birthday.🥳🎂The two girls doing the fight choreo were the dancers who had supported Su and Moa on the 2018 tour when Yuimetal was still a member but unable to perform or tour with them. The dancers were affectionately nicknamed 'Muscle Metal' by the fans. They performed their fight choreo whenever Su performed 'Akatsuki' in 2018 - they came back specially for the Budokan 2021 concerts to do it again - wearing their 2018 tour costumes. There were a couple of occasions where Su-metal had a fight with her evil doppelganger twin (a dancer dressed as her) during the guitar break - I always forget if the first time was Legend D (Su's 15th birthday concert in Dec 2012) or Legend Z (early 2013). The next time "Evil Su" appeared was at Legend S in December 2017 (Su's 20th birthday concerts).
They were Minako Maruyama from elevenplay and Minami Tsukui from Japan Action Enterprise. Su fought her double at the Legend Z concert back in 2013. At 'Legend S' in 2017, her nemesis was wearing the Legend D costume from 2012. That's probably one of the reasons it's so confusing. : )
@@rickwagner- Thanks, I really must write their names down - and I thought it was Legend Z, but doubted myself - yes, the Legend D costume for the Legend S performance may have been what was throwing me, more likely senility setting in.
Classic Babymetal songs actually were telling one story only, which is a girl with idol dream, and with fox god behind her, became a metal goddess to save the dying metal world. The story had been told on the stage performance in the past. If you had the chance to go over all of theirs concert video, you would know how Babymetal team linked the story by every song of Babymetal. All of the details were presented on stages here of there, maybe not on the same concert. I've read it somewhere that the producer of Babymetal, Koba metal, generated a list of songs with song titles and story, then he would find song writers who could accomplish the feeling in his mind. Some song writers might be asked to revised the song more than 20 times by Kobametal.😂 A good original sound track is slways with a good movie with a good story. Babymetal to me is like a anime itself or a true man show that tells three girls sacrificed themselves to save the metal world. And it's intriguing.🎉
🔥🔥Akatsuki 🔥🔥 I like that thought Su singing it to us her fans ❤😁 my favourite Su solo . Su puts so much passion into her performance. she is incredible. Su can change the feeling of a song effortlessly, so whatever you do, don't watch Akatsuki unfinished 😭 ! See clever thinking by saying don't watch it and jumping to conclusions. I am second-guessing what you are going to do next 😂 😁 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
_Akatsuki daaa!_ Wow a full reaction from Alexa, am i dreaming? BM did a collab along with TMG (Tak Matsumoto new group) with the song called Eternal Flames, so stay tuned for a full clip, next week is coming the album versión. See you next time 🦊🤘🔥
⚡ / 🔴 🌙 "Going over thousands (of) nights, some love shall survive. So, until my body perishes, until my life disappears, I shall keep on cherishing this love. Dye crimson! Dye bloody crimson!" - Akatsuki A Su-metal classic. 'Akatuski' was her first solo song with BABYMETAL. It was released on the 'Megitsune' single in June of 2013. Yeah, the fight scene was great. They introduced that on the 2018 tour, and I got to see it in Austin. Very cool they brought it back for a couple of the 2021 Budokan shows.
Happy Birthday to you🎉 Akatsuki is one of the most popular song and it symbolizes SU-METAL. There are many BABYMETAL songs that have been covered and I always enjoy them, but this song is the only one I don't want to hear anything but SU-METAL's vocals.
Aaahh, your cat's named "Mu Mu"... I literally thought you named your cat after "Momo"...haha, 🤣. I absolutely love Akatsuki and it's one of my favorite Babymetal songs. The Budokan 2021 performance is probably my favorite as well. Nice one! 🤘🦊
OH yeah, you never saw the Muscle Metal dancers before. They are bad asses. One of them makes Japanese fighting movies, they show up very rarely, Su metals acting school skills show up in this song, she is great at emoting. I think the song is about a lost love, maybe the lover died. Yay, kitten.
I think this is the best version of the song as this song really evolved with maturity of her voice. The video is a bit hard to follow visually during the fight because of the zooming that had to be done for FTFG to get it on YT. I am glad it didn't get blocked as does happen.
Nice reaction as always. I'll be honest this isn't my favourite version, nothing wrong with it, I just prefer the Legend 1997 Apocalypse version which has a much different feel and showcases Su's voice and expressiveness really well. You may want to do that as a compare and contrast at some point; but your choice of course. Oh and Happy Birthday 😁
@@alexatakesalook They instantly and totally disappear. It's not like a shadow-ghosting or when they are put on hold (I can notice both cases). It happens from time to time and I don't know if it depends on the channel (maybe a filter??). It seems that some specific word triggers it. Thanks!

I'm jealous, you got to witness this amazing performance live!!
This is my Absolute Favorite song SU has so much emotions. She and Babymetal is amazing ❤❤❤ love from Sweden.

You should consider watching Akatsuki (unfinished) - it's like a completely different song.
She's not a fan of ballads, that's why I recommended the original version, but I feel like she would still appreciate it.
@@DennisKent She liked Monochrome piano version, Akatsuki unfinished is just Akatsuki piano version. There's no reason she would dislike it.
@@Hymnodic It's her words, not mine. I'm just the messenger
