It's going to be an unpopular opinion, but: Momo has the growl and the cute, and that extra 4" of height gives her an edge as a dancer, but in terms of vocal quality she's as far behind Moa as Moa is behind Su. Maybe it's just a lack of experience. Moa's been Su's ride-or-die for more than half her life and has had a long time to learn from her, while Momo is much younger and still trying to fit in.

This has to be one of my favourite Band Maid side things. I'm in love with traditional Japanese style and music and instruments and... literally everything haha. For another great band that sounds quite a bit like this, you absolutely *must* check out Wagakki Band. The name says it all - Japanese Traditional Instruments Band. They were put together by one Yuko Suzuhana who herself sings in traditional Japanese classical style and dresses traditionally on stage as well. Yuko is also a student of traditional Japanese performance, such as fan dancing and sword dancing which you'll see her do on stage often. In fact they sound very much like this particular song as they feature a shamisen prominently. You may want to start with their breakout hit Senbonzakura as it really does convey the energy and style which they bring to their performances. But you won't be disappointed with anything you hear them play, particularly live.

The dancing is on point since they had Sienna Lalau of The Lab doing the choreo. XG is a dance crew that sings and raps

Glad you liked it and that you got to see both versions! The KCON version has the best sound and the lyrics in the corner, but I think people usually recommend the fancam because reactors often get blocked on KCON footage (so far so good!) and the cuts away from the dance break. Looking forward to seeing what you think of some of the more dance heavy content - maybe Undefeated or Hesonoo/X-Gene?

(The following is the opinion of Pete Smith) Dimash's mastery of symbolism is no secret and here.. he poses as a vampire.. representing society as having become dead and losing its emotions and feelings.. and longing for someone, something, to raise him back to mortality. And so he might find a 'girl', who could represent anything in our society, like LOVE, kindness and a sense of belonging.. to bring him back to life.. back to who he really was and who he could be now. And btw.. he does not bite the interviewer.. she is his gateway to heaven (whatever she might represent).. and she will be watching every little step that he takes…. do you get the message? Yes.. while riding to the interview, the journalist dreams that DQ is a vampire (which at that point she doesn't know) and then in her dream she fantasizes that she can bring him back to life (reality) with her love. Read every line that he sings very carefully.. right from the beginning.. as if you were society yourself singing... and you will discover the true meaning! Hey ‘society’ (meaning we the people).. are you feeling alone? Are you making your way down south to the river of life.. with chains all around you? Have you been lost for an eternity.. looking for freedom? You're not gonna lie.. it hurts sometimes.. because you're feeling alone on that side.. you'll come back to life when you've got something to be ALIVE for. Main Line… "I'll come back to life when I've got you" You never knew in your life there was salvation! And when you find it.. it will be your gateway to heaven. But take heed my society friend.. 'she' will be watching every little step that you take! Only Dimash thinks of the moral to his story.. no one else does. He writes or approves this stuff..
