I had this same intake for my 2018 Ford Mustang GT. I loved it. However, I sold it a week ago, and now have a 2021 Toyota Supra 3.0 Premium. I am going to buy this pretty soon.
@@HaiTran Just found out about your channel, and really like it. Like you, I am into detailing. Currently, in my garage, and just finished claying and polish my Nitro Yellow Supra. I am about to apply a coat of Adams Graphene Ceramic spray coating. Keep it up man!
I am half way done, one note attach the crankcase hose to the intake tube before attaching and clamping in down, there is no room to get to it once the tube is in place.
I actually haven't driven the car since install yet so I'll let you know later. Realistically, I don't expect much difference since it's largely an enclosed airbox. If you really want induction noise, the airboxless intakes are the way to go but then you chance sucking in hot air.
Just installed this on my 21 a91 Supra. Looks good but doesn't sound much different than stock. I'm still breaking in the car so I haven't got on it. Install was pretty easy, following your video.
Closed box intakes in general are not going to provide much of a difference in induction noise. Exposed filters are going to be much better suited for increase induction noises but they have their own negatives.
From my experience with multiple intakes, none of the aftermarket options perfectly seats. There's always a small gap where the intake meets the front duct. You're just looking for "close enough". But if you think it's really off, maybe it's time to contact the manufacturer.
Quality videos! I enjoy watching them. Ever consider installing FTP aluminum charge and intake pipes? They will improve flow and is not the plastic OEM junk that'll eventually crack.
Thank you! I have a charge pipe in mind but I have to wait until it’s released. As for the intake pipe, that would only be an option with a stock intake.
@@HaiTran did you issues trying line up the cold intake factory opening with injen air box inlet opening ? Mine is off about quater inch from lining up
Are you talking about towards the front, behind the headlights? If so, unless you're running the stock intake, it'll can be slightly off here. At least from what I've seen with various aftermarket options.
Just installed the same thing in my 2021 supra and so far I like it but hard to tell much difference in sound, performance, induction, etc. Having yours on for a while now have you noticed any difference? Thanks for the video bud!
Realistically, it’s an intake. Gains are going to be close to nothing until you really start to build and tune. In terms of sound, that’s more of a open intake thing. The close box design will increase sound a bit but it’s negligible.
I personally do not like the look of the MST. I just think the flat blocky design is boring. In terms of performance, I can't say because I've never tested it.
Is this an oem part? I went to a dealer it had the same intake and told me it was oem.. and that it didn’t need to be tuned.. I’m coming from an sti so I just don’t know about that lol
I can almost assure you that it'll be staying in my Supra for a while unless I hit the lottery and have a bunch of extra cash around for something extravagant like the Eventuri 👍🏽

A solid intake that's closed box and you gave great instructions for an actual install. Perfect!
Glad you liked it!

The turbo outlet assembly allows you to shift/spin the intake tube until you lock it down with the air box.
@@HaiTran I couldn't make that work the crankcase hose just didn't have any play
As long as everything gets installed properly 👍🏽
Perfect timing, mine is on the way.
Awesome! Hope everything goes well when it comes 👍🏽
Hai Tran did you notice any sound differences at all during driving?

I also found that attaching the filter/box to the tube first then seat the box in the grommets is easier then tighten the clamp
Wouldn’t this make it extremely difficult to get the intake tube into the turbo outlet assembly?
@@HaiTran That was already attached I am talking about the filter in the box connection
Not exactly sure what you mean but as long as everything gets installed properly, it all works in the end 👍🏽
Thanks for creating this video.
You’re very welcome!
What happened to the AMS one you had? Thanks for the video, cant wait for a sound comparison.
I had it for like a day and had a buyer so just sold it. It just wasn't for me.
I can’t line up the air box with the bottom duck so it seeds right im getting very frustrated helo!!!!

@@HaiTran yup, that is exactly the spot I'm talking about. Would it effect performance?
I doubt in any appreciable way.

Hello Hai, deciding between the MST and the Injen; your thoughts? 2021 Supra. Thank you.
I personally do not like the look of the MST. I just think the flat blocky design is boring. In terms of performance, I can't say because I've never tested it.
Hai Tran thank you for the quick reply.
Good luck with your decision 👍🏽
I bought this for my A90, we’re you able to completely seal it on the ram air ducts? There is a slight gap on mine.
From my experienced, there’s a slight gap somewhere on all the after market intakes that I’ve tried.
@@HaiTran I figured, it is very slight, just about 3mm. Okay, just making sure I didn’t do anything incorrect, thanks 😊
No problem 👍🏽
@@HaiTran 👍

I’m pretty sure if it was OEM, it would say Toyota or something the like and not branded Injen, a known aftermarket manufacturer.
Did you not like the ams intake?
I did not for the money and actually took it off the day after installing it. Luckily, I had a buyer lined up.
@@HaiTran cool. Let us know what you think of this one, and if it will be staying in the supra.

Wondering how that intake sounds!?!
It's an enclosed air box so there's barely going to be a difference.
Is this better then the Sp cold air intake system
I personally can’t say, I’ve never tried that intake.
It’s not even close.
